I was looking to buy a Sigil for my friend today and came across Dirk Mcjerk selling one for 55k in Lion Arch today. It was show as "Family Sigil", I got suspicious and asked why it's not orange just like it's shown in official website, he said that is pre-update version, so I hit'd trade. And of course it doesn't work and he disspeared.
I'm not asking for pity or anything, it's only 55k, I can afford that. I simply wish my gold can buy a lesson for anyone who is looking to buy a sigil and NEVER trust - Dirk Mcjerk or Dirk Krid.

The last time I checked my storage a couple of days ago the sigil is still displayed using the "under construction" icon (the friendly construction guy wearing a hardhat). I don't think ANet has actually changed the icon to the one specified on their website. You probably should have asked the other people around to show you what the actual sigil look like before handing that kind of gold.
