Question for Illusionary Warrior Build
Threlyn
This build seems very effective. However, if I were to implement this build in PvE, how might I be able to progress through the game before being able to cap the IW skill? What skill might I be able to use to do the damage as I progress through pre-ascension?

Since you can re-spec your attribtutes, use any abilities that seem effective. If you are a Me/Wa build you could play as a nearly pure mesmer with a defensive stance and healing signet for example. Whatever works - you don't need to have any illusions, as you can switch points into it later.

At that late in the game, however, I'd have to level up a few times to get the necessary refund points to fully transfer all my skills, correct? This is the impression that I seem to have, though I could be completely wrong.

No, you'll probably have 24/24 attribute points saved up, I generally do unless I just switched skills around. If you have a 10/10/11 distibution I guess it isn't quite enough to change all 3, but if you keep even one of your skill sets you'd be able to afford it in one go. So long as you keep using illusion (and there'd no reason not to really) you'll be able to swap things pretty easily.

That works. Thanks for the help.

The problem with IW in PvE is that buy the time you have IW, a significant proportion of the things you fight will dispel it on sight. Keep that in mind so you don't have to sit around uselessly for long periods of time.

Same with PvP. Make sure you have at least one more enchantment on you at all times, something like illusion of weakness is excellent. Most enchantment removals have long recharge times, so you'd be able to keep your IW. Of course, watch out for Rend Enchantments, make sure you interrupt it on sight.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
