Question about weapon rarity

What are the rares of each weapon/item in the game?

bow- storm?
sword- dragon?
axe- chaos?
hammer- ?
shield- ?
staff- ?
focus- ?
other?- ?

There's a lot of combinations of rares... are you talking about Blues, Purples, Golds? Named items like, "Vampiric Sword of..."? To list all of the variations of rare weapons would be an extremely LONG task.

hes talking about special graphic type items, not blue purple gold which is obvious if you read the choices he has placed in the catergories.

im not sure if shields like magmas and shadow count though

No I understood it... but it's irrelevant... because at this point every person and their best friend has a Fiery Dragon Sword... so there is no "rare" style of weapon in my opinion... only rare "types" of weapons. So, now see my above post.

*Added Note* I also have seen and own quite a few of his listed Bows and Axes... so I still believe that you can't lable a weapon rare based on it's look. What's rare is what it has as attributes.

Well thats wrong because i have found hundreds of long bows but 0 storm bows. Hundreds of cleavers and no chaos axes, theres a differnce im sure.

Sorry... but just because you haven't found it doesn't make it rare. Like I said... while the Firey Dragon Sword might have been rare at one point... 1 in 5 Warriors now have one. That's not rare in my eyes.

Rare is the sword that adds armor when such and such happens, or gives you an attribute when you reach a certain level of health... etc. You might see who has the most unique of each class (preferably with screenshots), but as I said, it would be a lengthy process.

I've had quite a few Storm Bows, and Chaos axes... it's just the luck of the draw and how often you go out looking for items.

*Added Note* I hate to knock your idea for this thread... you might change the title to "Uncommon Weapons Per Class"... but again, rare defines what it can do, not what it looks like or is called.

Sword - Fellblade
Shield - internal --- i think thats the name

Fellblade is probably one of the more uncommon ones... I did see two drop in one mission, and I recently sold one... but probably more uncommon than the Firey Dragon one.

The shield is called eternal, not iternal, and yes i belive that is the rarest or most "uncommon" one.

in a way you are right. im a way you are not. yes. many people have dragon swords. so there is a lot fo them around. but theres is a billion more long swords around. if people have a dragon sword and 100 long swords. which one will they use?.. and does that make it less rare? if they have 100 of another type in their backpack

why do you thing people want the special looking weapons? because they are rare. the canthan targe and other pre-order items looks different too. but everyone can (or could) get one of those. you just had to buy it the right place.

the special looking weapons are rare. they drop in high level areas. and even if theres a thousand of them around. theres a trillion longswords. but who cared about those?

edit: just to sum it up. what i'm saying is that dragon swords rearely get sold to the merchant. which means the ones around stay. however alot of other swords just get sold.

Im with you on this one, these items do indeed have a smaller chance to drop, therefore they have a rarity scale. Yes, there is magical rarity too, but that is quite obviously not what this thread is about. I would be interested in some kind of rarity listing describing the chance to get X item on X level creatures. I like your post, its too bad people have to go all anal because thier dictionary only has one definition of rare.

No, storm/eternal/chaos/shadow weapons or shields are only available in underworld and fissure, and they are not that rare. Almost anyone who has been to those places five or six times would have picked up at least one of those. What is truely rare to me though, is a gold or purple Ball Hammer with max dmg (19-35) because I've yet seen one and started to believe it doesn't exist.
