Does this spell keep you from doing ANY damage? or just attacking? Does it mean physical damage or can physical damage spells hurt you? if anyone knows please reply thx.
Vermilion Okeanos
you can still cast spells and take damage from spells, just not from regular attacks. Pretty sure attack skills doesn't go thru either... basically it throw ranger and warrior out of the window for a peroid of time.
C2K
Yeah, no attacks will hurt you, even attack skills. However, your still fair game to spells, signets and hexes(and you can hurt others with these kinds of skills as well)
Legendary Mithrandir
what what if warriors and ranger have Elemental wepaons will they hurt you in Mist Form?
Vermilion Okeanos
I doubt it... as this mist form is really not about elements... although I can't give you hard prove as I haven't use mist form widely yet...
secretsmg
You take dmg from illusionary weaponry and things of that nature still.
Kuja
Eidolon in the Iron Mines of Moladune has this skill as well, once you get to seer part and are getting infusion.

Yes elemental weapons will still hurt you, only physical is blocked. Not too great in pvp, wonderful in pve.

Last time I tried this skill, I took no damage from warrior or ranger weapons, but when a ranger hit me, kindle arrows (preparation) and conjure flame (enchantment) still delivered their damage.
The skill says nothing about physical or elemental damage. Attacks are attacks. That means swords, axes, hammers, bows, wands, and staves will not deliver damage. But any conjures/preparations used with those weapons will still deliver damage.

This skill doesn't seem to work entirely.
I've been hit by warriors in melee with Mist Form up, and just last night went to the Iron Mines again and the Eidolon used it, but despite that, I still was hitting him, albeit not for much, but that's linked to being a caster hitting with a wand rather than anything else.
My guildmate was also hitting it during the whole time.
No enchantment removal, the yellow arrow was still up for it.

Probably some kind of bug. I'd report it, but I'd prefer to test it first.

had a bit of a mess around, and it seems that my actual attack, regardless of what type it was (e.g. fiery axe grip etc.), was stopped. However, any buffs on the attack, such as conjures etc. work as normal. the reason attack skills dont do damage is because they add damage to your attack and aren't damage in their own right. At least, this is how it seems to pan out. Hope this helps.

I guess this skill is just kinda bugged at the moment. It looks like it is total random when this will work and when it won't. I had people hit me for 0 while wielding a fiery dragon sword.
Then again, next match another fiery dragon sword warrior approaches me and does full damage. Well and Hammer Warriors ALWAYS do full damage to Mist For. I even got the feeling, they are doing more damage with Mist Form activated. :/
I allready /bugged it... as the description clearly says from attacks but warriors and rangers most of the time still do normal damage from... attacks. So either the description is wrong or the skill is bugged.
/edit:
And no, those guys had no Enchantments on them at that time as they got shattered by our mesmer all the time.

Yes, it finally works.
I still prefer Ward Against Harm in the water branch over this, as it can't be removed, helps others besides yourself, and gives supreme defence against fire damage. It is not as if water doesn't have the tools to snare opponents and manually move out of melee range, and ranger Kindle/Ignite Arrows preparations are still going to smack you.
For self-defence in general, I'd much rather dabble in Earth and grab Armor of Earth + Obsidian Armor for a massive boost in AL, resulting in heavily reduced damage, and becoming untargetable by spells. (which in most cases, makes it not worthwhile to attack you at all.)
That's not to say Mist Form is bad; I just find it subpar to other available elites.

Will you still build adrenaline with this or does it classify your attacks as misses and do nothing?
Vampiric Greenhorn
use arcane echo before this and you are immune to attaks completly for as long as you have enough energy
Sheriff Bullock
You can also capture Mist Form from Ice Beast in Mineral Springs.
(The far north-eastern edge of the map, just after you exit the ice cave, before you reach the Seer who can infuse your armor. The Ice Beast is a Phantom and drops Spectral Essence just like the Phantom in the Moladune mission.)

The attacks still hit, they just don't do any damage. I would assume that you would still get adrenaline, because you are actually hitting them, but don't quote me on that. My main problem with mist form is that because the attacks still hit, the added effects still happen. I used to think this would be a decent running skill until I realized that that hamstring still crippled me. Honestly, in PvE, it's not the pure physical damage that kills you.
gameshoes3003
Vampirics, conditions and hexes can overwhelm this and also, the people attacking you still get adrenaline.
Arcador
Can be good for the flag runner's last few steps or similar 1 person tactic.
Retribution
Mediocre elite at best, in any 8v8 team there should be at least one enchant strip somewhere, you could think of this thing as a weak, slow, and elite divine intervention.
