The deal with Raven Staffs?

I've tried for a long time, but i still fail to figure out why these crappy staffs are dropped so late in the game... Does anyone know?

I recon they're just there to sell for the gold a pop

Have you seen the requirements on raven staffs? They don't have any. Which means they are excellent for any character who wants that +10 energy, until endgame.

Gather few of them, and go sell them in Ascalon. You'll make nice profit out of them.

Sure are useful for their +10 energy. I was doing mineral springs last night with a PUG, and at one point we were all at 60% DP, and our w/mo didn't have enough mana to use the teleport res (forgot name T_T). Luckily, one of us had a raven staff on hand and we were saved XD
