where are the wands???

I just started playing with a Elem/mes, but i read in a forum that staffs are not recommended since they require both hands. I have never come across a wand since the beginner area which I cant go back to. Can somebody shed some light on such a simple question.

I pick up wands all the time. I have 3 or 4 (one of which I believe is purple and the other gold, rare) in my inventory. You loot them, trade looted items for them (to "Collector" NPCs), or you buy/trade them from a human player.

I dont get it, Ive been fighting for 2 weeks and I get dropped staffs, swords, shields and materials.. never a wand!!! ne body else have this prob???

Yeah, I haven't found any for my monk. But, I do get a ton of elementalist wands. My warrior always got a ton of bows, and a friend that has a ranger, always got a ton of swords. Don't know if it's bad luck, but it sure is odd.

I've gotten them all the time. :\ I can sell you one I'm sure, or give you one depended upon how good they are (I'd need to sign on and check).

Your best bet is to loot them from elemental style enemies. Charr for example, probably wouldn't drop one. But there's a lot of different ones that do.

seriously, me too!! i never paid much attention to the wands until recently because i have a gold staff and thought that all mages just had to use two-handed weapons.

But recently i messed around and put on a fire wand, HOLY CRAP, so THAT'S how the artifacts come into play!!! lol, i can't believe i got so far before realizing this.
