It would be nice to have a battle arena or collesium to fight battles against legendary monsters, swarms of enemies, ancient heros and the like, that are PvE battles. It would be a nice way for players to earn Exp or skill points, which helps players earn up more skills for other secondary jobs after they gain the ability to change secondaries. All I can say, the greater the reward the harder the battle, and having a random selection of enemies would keep players from preparing souly to face a certain monster with skills particularly chosen to beat it.
Fame and rank should not be given for such battles though, because no matter how hard a PvE battle is, it is not in the same competative arena as PvP. The most they should give is a visable title for beating certain ultra creatures, but this could be covered simply by having extremely rare weapons and armors/crafting materials dropped by certain ultra creatures, so players will know you have beaten such if you have that rare weapon.
I also think it would be very nice if there were Traders that would buy rare items like runes, weapon parts, and other rare matierials at a competative price, and make the same items available for other players to buy.... at a slightly raised price. Alot of players want an auction house, but I think this will give way to unfair and unbalanced pricing. If there are certain merchants (Traders) that exchange rare and special items which can then be made available to players on any district of that same area, then players could save the hastle of trying to find that particular person to buy thier product, and the buyer wouldn't have to search everywhere for that particular item, and then try to get a reasonable price. Because players would lose a certain amount to the system there would still be reason to trade directly, but the opportunity to get money for items right away can easily outweigh searching forever to find a buyer, and vice versa, quite simply, time is money and players could make more money and find more items instead of wait in town for days to get thier merchandise sold.
It is important to remember that not any item can be traded off, or put in an auction house system, because many weapons and shields are the same construct but have variant stats from the begining to the end of the game, this limits players from putting anything they find up for trade. But concrete items like runes, weapon parts, and rare crafting materials are static, and do not have various stats, which makes them much more reasonable to catagorize and trade. The flaw lies in the ability for players to activate all the runes and weapon components on thier PvP characters through easy access to such items, but it is even easier for players in a guild or friends to pass around a superior rune of (anything) for free and activate it, at least a Trader will charge them money, a reasonable amount of money for that item.
Lastly, is quantity, and whether or not prices (bought and sold) on a Trader would increase or decrease with the amount in stock, and if there is a maximum amount he would accept. There are alot of factors to consider, and I could go on with more, but it is up to the Devs to decide if certain tools/functions could and should be added and test them for balance and stability. I only hope something stupid like an Auction House woln't be instituted, because it only takes a handful of immature players to jack up prices to unreasonable prices.
