This has happened twice to-night in Dragons Lair mission..what is this crap ?

I believe that's just the generic "You've been disconnected" error - which means either your connection is down, or ANet had a burp of sorts and kicked you.
They probably should've just avoided displaying an error code for common problems like that. Needless complexity doesn't jive well with the public market, especially if they can't do anything about the error code. Log it to a log file if necessary (for tech support) and have the in-game dialog be nice and clean.
