holding ctrl: light blue vs dark blue

When you hold CTRL in town, why are some of the people's names light blue and some of them dark blue? Someone once told me that it means they're partied, which i found to be horrible and blatently false. I've never figured it out.. what exactly does it mean?

People in dark blue are in a group. Those in light blue are solo.
It is not false.

Really.... I always see my friends in dark blue and they are not partied.

Then sometimes I try to party with a light blue and it says the merged party would be too large...

First one I can't explain. How can you be sure they are not grouped? Unless you are grouped with them, in which case they would be dark blue

With the light blue's party being too large, they may be grouped with henchmen.


The rules slightly vary if you are in a group too. I think then everyone is light blue to you who isn't in your group.

Oh.. yeah well maybe I've been mistaken but this is what I've always thought. Oh well, thats kinda weird.

The names sometimes don't change color if they go in or out of a party while you've been on the same map with them. Simply hover over their name once and it will probably change to what they really are.
