Stacking soul reaping runes...

I have one minor rune of soul reaping on one piece of armor, and an identical one on another piece of armor. However, my bonus is only +1. Am I doing something wrong, or is getting +2 just impossible?

If it is impossible, how can I get the rune out? With an expert salvage kit?

Only the highest rank rune of the same skill counts, so if you have +1,+2 & +3 of the same skill on your armor only the +3 will count.

Expert salvage MIGHT take it out, you could also just end up with materials.

you will have a chance of recovering the rune with an expert salvage kit, as long as you did not get the armor from a collector. armor from collectors cannot be salvaged.

if you wish to stack bonuses, runes will stack with headpieces and the %chance bonus from weapons/foci.
