Change the 24 hour post rule in the trade forum.

The administrators have no problem with EnDinG's rule, so why do you?

Constantly spamming every open topic you can find, aggressively trolling, and calling EnDinG out to come beat you up is not tolerated.

Also, whinging with foul language is no way to get your point across.

1) I never said you were going to be banned. I said that it is possible you could be for trolling posts.
2) I never threatened you, I was giving you a heads up incase the admins saw your posts and figured this was a no no.

As for the forum guidelines? I posted them up for all mods and admins to view before putting them into effect. I have made sure that any changes to them were marked OK by the admins before posting updates or editing the guidelines.

These are just as much of the admins as mine, leaving what they say as the final word which I tend to enforce upon my descression.

If it makes you feel any better, the first version of this proposed (before I offered changes) was 7 days before any new posts, then brought down to 5 (by my choice) then down to 1 (again by my choice) both times backed by the admin. So if anything, you should by rights be happy its not 7 and that I actually decided that 5 was too long so I would try out a new number which shouldn't have caused any problem.

I am just doing what I've been asked to do, moderate forums. Any time you are able to reply to a question with a PM instead of a post is always the best answer in order to keep "reply bumps" from forcing a flow of 2nd pagers to the 1st page. Its what I like to call the "bump loop". I posted an example of this in the first guideline thread found in our trade forums if you wish reference of what I'm talking about.


And I don't call them rules, I call them guidelines, rules are ment to be followed, guidelines I can strech out depending on circumstances.

I've still yet to receive an answer to the "question what is trolling?"

I'm not attempting to claim you randomly threw these "guidelines" in without the approval of the admins. I am saying that despite the fact that they may have thought they were good before I feel they are ineffective and cause more problems than they solve.

Principa even claimed I was spamming every active thread. Well thats the point isn't it? Every active thread is breaking your rule. How effective can it be if everyone is breaking it and nothing is being done in most of the cases?

This isn't an attack against you it's an attack against the silly "guideline".

I wouldn't have cared in the least if both of my threads were closed but it was happening to everyone who breaks this rule, it isn't.

Either you're spread too thin to enforce it or you draw names out of a hat on who to enforce it with.

I "trolled" (whatever that means because you won't tell me) to prove a point and I proved it well.

If I simply made this thread and said everyone was breaking your rule you would tell me it wasn't true.

I've stopped now and never intended on doing it for long only long enough to prove how ineffective this guideline is.

You can easily tell what thread should be closed and what thread shouldn't

A thread where someone answers someones question should NOT be closed.

A thread where someone bumps 4 times in 12 hours should.

Your reason for closing both threads (except that you really don't close any except a select few) is that if someone with a real reason to repond bumps their tread with their response then the person with no real reason will have to bump to get ahead.

Well here is an idea, if that person bumps purely for the sake of bumping CLOSE THEIR THREAD.

Enforce it with everyone or don't enforce it at all.

MCS, I've tried to explain to you (in a multitude of PM's which I can quote right here if you like) what trolling is, and exactly what you are doing wrong.

You're spamming in people's threads, and you're constantly calling out a moderator with flames and insulting tones. If you don't like how EnDinG is doing his job, then PM an administrator.

You chose to troll, flame, and spam. Deal with it.

As I have told you many times now, the administrators have been made aware of this situation and they will decide what to do with you. Considering your behaviour, it honestly would not surprise me if you were banned.

If it were my decision, you would be. Consider yourself lucky that I'm merely a moderator.
