Yes, Arrows are physical damage.

Unless you use a conjure skill or have a special bow that changes your arrow's attribute [do those exist? they do I think, I can't remember]
Bgnome
Conjure does not change the damage type on your arrows. You could do it with certain skills though, such as Greater Conflagration or Judge's Insight. Elemental Bows of course will do elemental damage.
bobert
would the physical damage of the bow still trigger mark of pain?

Hey and a note for everyone. You can actually dodge the arrows in the game by moving your toon left and right (straffing that is.) The thing that makes it cool when you straffe is because it adds that much more skill involved than a regular rpg game.
However you need to move a tad bit more than counter-strike type straffing. So when everything is downhill and you're trying to run with not enough energy nor health left to use any skills, but at the same time being bombarded with enemy arrows "Straffe the freak like it was counter-strike"

While we're on the topic of arrows, I haven't been in any of the beta events yet, so do rangers have to refill arrows or do they have an endless quiver? If they do have to refill, are arrows expensive? That's what kept me away from Ranger in FFXI, is because it was so darn expensive.
Deraku
Nope, you don't have to refill arrows. They're unlimited and just appear out of thin air.
