Oh, by the way, this deserves another post, cuz its on a totally different subject.
Where does my motherboard go in my ATX case posted like 3 posts above?

Not to be harsh, but if you don't know how to hook in a PC motherboard, i would be very reluctant to try this without someone who really knows helping you out. The reason for this, you could very well Mess up one vital component before you get it booted.
Another thing, check all the items you are ordering before you proceed with the order. Reason for this, you may be ordering items you really don't need. Onboard Lan, Sound etc are very common now and are also very good.
Make sure you have the right Graphics card. AGP or PCI Express.
Also, does the memory work with your motherboard?
I know these guys are doing there best to help you and great work on there part, but this last comment would scare the hell out of me.
ElRey
Thats the only thing that i dont know, and im sorta confused if i do it wrong. I know where it is in my Dimension 2400, but i dont know where its supposed to go in this case and i would like a pic just to make sure that thats where it goes.

This is why I say get someone who is PC literate to help you out.
Motherboards can only go into cases one way and the case determines which way around that is.
If you can't determine that from the case, then I suggest you get someone to help you out. Not only for this reason, but for the fact that you don't want to damage any of the more high priced items.
By the way, will you be using any form of Anti Static devices to help prevent Static destroying the electronic components?

1.) Touch the metal on the PC case before you touch any of the components (even if you're not putting them in yet).
2.) If you're working on/around carpet, do not wear socks without shoes.

And when it comes to Athlon64's, anyone who says that the stock cooler is no good is wrong. Athlon64's run surprisingly cool compared to older AthlonXP's, in my experience, and the stock cooler does a great job. I don't think I'll ever need to swap out my stock AMD cooler unless this one dies or I begin some real overclocking.

However, for someone who is obviously not very PC literate as the Original Poster, i would recommend using Anti Static Prevention. Better to be safe than sorry if you don't know what you are doing.

Built my PC from the ground up last year for $2,000 US. Like Principa Discordia, I did not do anything to prevent static discharge other than make sure I touched the case metal beforehand. I also wore shoes and did most of the assmebly in one spot while sitting. Make sure you can easily clear out the cables from the case before installing the motherboard, as in getting them out of the way, because this makes installing so much easier. I went with this for my computer:
Aspire X-Alien Case (I sprang for the one with the 500W PSU)
MSI K8T NEO-FSR ATX AMD Motherboard
Two 120GB 7200RPM Seagate Harddrives
Ati Radeon 9800Pro 256mb Video Card
This was also my first from the ground up computer build. Make sure you read the directions first! Doing this will save you a lot of time spent sweating whether or not you hooked up everything correctly then checking and rechecking 4 to 5 times and bleeding from cutting yourself inside the case because you had to check the cables so many times.
It is a learning experience that is a must if you want to work with computer hardware later on in life. Have fun!

I saved several degrees CPU idle temp by going to aftermarket coolers and then saved 2 degrees by switching to thermal compound. Thousands of other people have obtained the same results. If it's not worth it to you, fine, but it works.

However, my latest AMD 2400+ with it's CPU cooler and heatsink has been more than fine and my PC is very quiet. I think my Graphics Fan is noisier than the CPU fan.

you are trading a 3 year warranty with approved h/s fan for a 30 day warranty with minimal savings and hoping that it will either die right now or live forever.
i buy retail than get the aftermarket if and when needed.
presently using OCZ Goliath all copper heatsink artic silver and a sunon case fan which is quiet and you cant seem to kill a sunon fan

OK, I don't have a problem with that if you enjoy the peace of mind.

Wow. $754 is like £407 in the UK. I wonder if that stuff is worth that much here or a lot more.
Oh well. Will have to wait until i can get myself an AMD64. By then will probably be AMD128. lol
As far as wether you are ready to buy, do you feel comfortable with your choices and have you double checked all the Specs on the website to satisfy yourself that all is right.
Make sure you are happy with it before you place the order. Remember, it's your money and any help and advice here won't help you if you find something is Wrong. That is down to you.

If you are going to transfer over the floppy drive from your old machine, use that cable too.
That should pretty much be it for cables. Everything regarding power should be supplied with the Tower Case. Well, they do when i buy them in the UK.

Guess im set!!! Thanks for everything guys!!!!
Il report my building process and tests when its finished. (probably around eiether June 4th or June 12th)

What it really comes down to is if he would like to save on the $30. If he isn't planning on doing any overclocking, doesn't mind the colour of the fan, then there's not much point at all in switching it out for an after market cooler. Also, as someone else keeps pointing out, someone with relatively little experience building computers might want the peace of mind that comes with the 3 year warranty, as opposed to the limited warranty of the OEM processor.

Either that, or just take the Hard Drive cable from your old PC and use that one.
They are called IDE Cables. There are others, which are called SATA which is a new and faster system, and a lot smaller in size, but without looking at your new mobo for details, i would stick to IDE for now. Anyway, your new HDD would need to be SATA or you would have to get a SATA connector/adapter.
AGTyson2Tone
MSI mobo's are great, but take my advise and be sure you buy a decent Power Supply. You need at least 18 ampere on the 12 volts line on the PSU, otherwise your system will turn out to be very unstable. (I am saying this based on my own experience :-) )
I bought a Tagan 480W PSU (28ampere on the 12 volts line) which is a very good PSU for a nice price.
No problems with AMD cooler here either ...
Cheers

The 6800 is better because it has a 256bit memory interface as opposed to a 128bit memory interface on the 6600GT.
The 6600GT can be found as low as $150 on that site though, not sure why you're looking at that particular one.
