Loading up problem

Hello all, I don't play guild wars a ton, but i do. When it went live i played a character to lvl 12 and have not played much since then. So i was going to play today, and when i clicked the icon on my desktop an hour glass showed up then disapeared and nothnig happened. I tried it from the start menu and i have tried restarting my computer and i have run a virus scan just in case. None of this has helped. Can any one assist me?

I think you should try reinstalling the game first - come back here and let us know if that doesn't fix it
