The forum has witnessed a rise in complaints. As any game, Guild Wars is not perfect. However, complaining about some of its shortcomings will likely not benefit anyone. If there are things you dislike about the game, I suggest you create a thread in the Sardelac Sanitarium and state ways of improving it and not merely bashing it. Remember, the developers do read these forums and constructive criticism is paid attention to. If it is genuine, polite and logical then I see no reason why it would not be taken into consideration.
Instead of complaining, read this

Amen. I would love to see suggestions that are actually based in the real world... you know, where AreaNet's concerns for keeping the paths between PvE and PvP open for everyone are primary.
I made my suggestion (e.g., allow 'looting' of skills in PvP, but elites and runes remain something you have to hunt for yourself).

I don't mind complaint' threads. Humans being humans, things like that seem only natural in a very large community forum. What I mind is when the debaters of 'hot' complaints are constantly hijacking other people's threads in order to continue their arguing. That's what's truly disruptive, IMO.
I can avoid opening 'complaint threads'/threads with topic titles on subjects I'm not interested in reading - but it's harder to avoid threads that have been 'hijacked'.

I can only speak for myself, but I really don't see that many 'grind' threads...infact I only see one thread on the current page which seems to be grinding related.
Since this area is for community discussion and not some specialization such as crafting there are only a limited amount of things to say. It seems fair that people are frustrated or have legitimate beefs about the game they should be able to discuss it...seriously is it really that hard to look at the latest posts that you haven't seen and skip the ones you don't like?
..and if there are THAT many people willing to take the time to rant, there might be a reason for it. (I'm just saying if)

Seriously, people whine too much about this game. "OMG U HAVE TO PLAY FOR OVER AN HOUR TO BE A GOOD PLAYER!!!" Yes, it did advertise that skill rules the game, not hours played. Most people who complain are obviously not veteran MMORPG players.
In most MMORPGs you start off waking up in the tutorial, where you are given a quest by someone "Hey, there, new fellow! My Vegetable patches are being eaten by bunnies! Can you go in and kill 20 bunnies and bring me back their carrots?!" Ok, you kill a random, small animal, or possibly a series of them until you have either completed a given quest or gotten a certain level. You are then beamed outside of the tutorial, into a town and from then on are expected to find your own path.
Most games require, not for you to do quests, but to hunt monsters; this requiring hours of walking around in circles in an area filled with aggressive, kill stealing players, waiting for enemies to re-spawn. In most games it can take days or even weeks to elevate your level from, perhaps 15 to 25, those numbers being out of 100.
I've seen many, many MMORPGs where there are only some 20 quests in the entire game. The idea of such quests is to get things like armor, weapons or money.
And then after you hit 100 you start PvP, not only will you need the best weapons and armor, but some games make systems for player to raise their stats slightly after getting certain amounts of EXP, hours and hours more can go into this. So to compete with the other players in the Arena you will also need all the same things or better.
What about Guild Wars? Do you have to sit around and hunt monsters? No! You can reach the maximum level in about a week in total; by doing quests.
What are quests for? Exp, money, skills, since of completion. Are you forced to fight nothing but Bunnies, Jelly Beans, turtles and other cute monsters until level 75? No, you are thrown right into the thicket of adventure from the get-go.
The thing being, if you have a lot to do and you're very busy all the time, don't buy an MMORPG; they all take awhile for you to play and be a good player.
Very tired of people complaining about factors of this game that are well improved from any game I've ever seen. Yes, it's not perfect, but there was no promise that it would be, was there?
Hmm.. I suppose this seems somewhat off topic but I've been waiting to say it for awhile.

ya,
I completely agree Sagious, But I just learned yeterday that you have a maximum level of 20. Is that true, or are they raising it? I found this out by putting my cursor over my level. Basically, It said my level was 11/20.
That, I do not like. It greatly decreases the challenge...even tho sometimes it takes hours to level, if u r hunting for fun with your friends or exploring. Can you do certain quests to raise more ability points?

There are 2 quests you can get that will give you 15 points each, however, the attribute point limit is 200 so with out those 2 quest you can only have 170. Once your lvl 20 you still gain exp and you sorta get lvls, just when your exp bar is completely filled you get a skill point instead of an attribute point...make sense?
I wouldnt have anything to complain about if they would just had left the game how it was in bata.Open bata is the only reason I wanted to play this game, now they keep removing things that made bata so popular. The game has lost its luster alrdy for me.After reaching lvl 20 in 3 days and finishing the game in 6 most of the quest in less then 2 weeks there is nothing more to do except wait for the next version pretty sad.It was all about the item hunting for me not the lvls I could care less about a 20 lvl cap I just want to do the old MF ( magic find )from the old diablo days this is what the bata version was like, now it has all changed.People really know how to ruin a good game.

most of the game (and the following chapters) are for level 20 characters.
tell me why it has to have the *magic level ding* to have a challenge
