When I hit "K" and your skills are arranged by Primary profession, I switch to Attribute, but the game changes it back after every time I pull up the skill window.
This should stay how you change it until you change it again. Or at least default to Attribute. Most people pick skills based on the attributes they run anyway, not purely by the Profession.
