pre searing charr drops question

I've gotten some purple armor charr drops in pre searing. One has something of swordsmanship in the name and the other has nothing other then just being purple. Im guessing it is in my best interest to hang onto these until post searing and use the expert kit on them? If I tried a salvage kit in pre sear and somehow got the rune, would I even be able to use it yet?

you could trade them to someone who can salvage them for something you need / want, or sell to NPC.

salvage is probably best bet

Normal purple one just yields rarer salvage items. If you know what i'm talking about. If not, just wait till post searing and find out.
