'Yellow weapons' best way to get them

Anybody know the best place or way of getting these weapons,im level 20 and past acension yet ive never once seen or got a 'yellow weapon', is this just unlucky or is there a way of getting them?

You're probably just unlucky.
I would recommend going to an area with the highest level monsters that you think you can take on completely on your own. That way you get all of the loot. (Or take a sympathetic friend along.)

Best way to get them just happens to be the best way to get exp. Go find some level 24 mobs that are all melee so they stick close together then use some sort of AoE to kill them in mass.

Ascend then go back and help people with the River mission. Yeah, the mission sucks but it's not bad when youre not the one needing to ascend. For some reason, it seems like if you are ascended and go back to help others tons of yellows and purples drop. I had 12 drop (mix of yellow/purple) my last run helping a guildy through it.

Well, I've found two Gold Items in the "Gates of Kryta" so far. One came out of one of those skeleton rangers a bit before the fort and another came from a chest in the cave by the poison river just before that.
In my experience, you don't seem to have a better chance of getting gold items at any specific place anymore. It more seems to be just a plain old "chance" of one dropping from anything.

That is just unlucky, before ascension I found quite a few yellow items and loads of purple (I hope I don't get jinxed for telling my luck, I usually do, atleast from previous experiences in previous games)
Anyway first yellow item I got was from lorners pass when I was lvl 16, bitch of an area for me at that time but me and w/e friend plus a healer henchmen spent few minutes every now and then for exp and got a max dmg yellow sword and 1 or 2 purple items. The purples started coming in more frequently after lions arch and gold started coming more frequently after bloodstone fen, especially at the desert, got a shit load of rare items there few yellows and lots of purples.
Don't give up though, you can get gold items in some of the most unexpected places, like I got yellow item from a treasure chest ouside beetlum and a wreckage in crystal desert outside seekers passage. Early on probably the Riverside Province mission give good amounts of rares and in the crystal desert just about every mission is likely to give some rare items away and even get them from travelling outside. I think its mainly due to their level that high level creatures tend to drop betters, it makes sense, however it doesn't always seem like that. For example I think hill giants on average have a high frequency for drops in gold items because I got quite a few rare items from them early on and everytime I did a run of Riverside I usually got a rare item from them, mainly yellow salvagable items.

i'm just about to do ascension.. and i have not found a single yellow at all.. so i'm unlucky as well =P

I have found over 10 gold items and at least 50 purple items, and I just finished ascention last night! The more you play the more you get. Solo missions more and you got your best deal.

I have gotten about 4 gold axes in the missions near to Yak's Bend. Everytime I get one, it makes me mad because I have no use for an axe.
