This game needs beer for all of those depressed Ascalonians who need to get away from things. Pubs would also be nice. I mean, what better meeting place than the Lion's Arch Beer Tent?

You can get the hunters ale by doing the bear killing "quest" in at King's Watch in pre-searing ascalon. 
The pub idea would be nice though. More role-playing things in general would be nice. Perhaps a pub could also be implemented as an add-on to guild halls?

Agreed. Like in WoW, drink enough and you get drunk, blurred vision, slurred speech, etc... hell, it should be like a potion, offering extra bonuses, like increased attack speed, but lowered movement rate. Could be cool.

- either more HP or stronger armor (you feel less pain when drunk)
- It's Funny
- You talk strange, ie 80% of your words get trough, yes this is a pro..
- More chance to get a critical attack (you can hit hard when drunk)
- drunken frenzy skill or something, increas attack/attack speed etc. ending in being cripled.
- higher chance of evading due to unpredictable movement
Cons
- blurred vission so, more misses
- knock down percentage
- poisoned status effect (what's your poison ? an Ascalon pint)
- slower movement

Make it so you get addicted after so many in such amount of time. So you rely on it or you start having the negative with no positive. Could be a decent money sink to those virtual alchi's lol.

Only people who haven't had much to drink in real life would suggest that alcohol improve any of the games attack stats, lol. Come on! make it real:
--Drinking several pints of should make all other characters seem far better looking than they really are.
--All drinking characters should suddenly believe they are fabulous dancers and refuse to stop dancing no matter what you command them to do
--If you make your character drink TOO much, violent vomiting should take the dye right off your armor
I could go on, but why relive bad memories. :-p

I guess this could be either added onto the hunter's ale or onto a new beer item. For the attraction thing, how about making all characters for the opposite sex appear to be armorless/naked regardless of their equipment, and whenever your character is standing still, he automatically /dances. I'm not sure about the dye thing though.
