Shield Designs...

Came across this earlier:



Not that good a shield (Armour 7, req 5 Tactics) but the look of it was new to me (and if it was a better shield, might adorn my arm) - is there a collection of pics which show what kind of shields can be gleaned from GW?

oh wow.. have never in my 400 hours of GW seen such a thing.. where? when? how? how much?

I think that's just a summit warlord shield. They drop every now and then out in the southern shiverpeaks. I think I have a max AC one in my inventory atm . . .

picked it up whilst helping out (Me/Ne 11) on the Fires in the East quest - never seen it before...quite a nice design if low specs...

Ive seen them and had some....havent found a maxed out one though only small armor.

I've seen a few of these, but I also never found one with good enough stats to bother keeping. Shame.

It's a quest reward item from Rangil Ironbow (if that's his name) in the area between the Iron Horse Mine and Traveler's Vale.

That shield is so unique that my current W/R 19 has been wielding it since he got it. Sure it's a crappy shield but that baby's got STYLE!

if that is so, why is dropping as a shield design in post-searing Ascalon...and I agree with the style - it's about the only shield I would wield insted of my chimeric prism...

Ya know, in that pic it looks like it would be all too easy to stab yourself in the throat/face with that shield.

I have never seen another one of those shields drop randomly for as long as I've been questing with multiple characters through the shiverpeaks. Maybe they've started dropping recently? I just know that the dwarf will give you that particular shield (armor 7, 5 tactics) if you complete one of his quests.

Got a few of those shields. Mostly Tall Shields. I threw them away once the novelty wore off. Same with the crystal Long Swords (with very low damage) I seem to find a lot of "special" graphic items in Pre-Searing and early Ascalon areas. They aren't worth anything, though.

For high end shields, I believe people would prefer Shadow Shields over the "Shell Shield" anyways.

I got a drop last night in the Iron Horse Mines area labeled Tower Shield, but the icon in my inventory looked like that shield. I use a tower shield that looks nothing like that one. I didn't equip it to see if it was correct though. I sold it cause it had crappy stats.

Got one in the souther shiverpeaks right outside of Droknar's Forge. Armor 15, called a Summit Warlord Shield. They look really nice. It was a white one... hoping for a higher one here soon.
