The answer to the new areas might also be in the interview off the main page today. Whichever region is on the top of the ladder in the international bracket gets access to additional areas.

well i can read korean..
i have jus visisted the official korean guild wars page and if im not mistaken.. they get their beta starting from march 25th of 2005. I am not entirely sure about when it ends but its still active right now, meaning yes koreans are on guildwars right now even if they are not alpha testers.
all i can say is.. today is friday, only two weeks till beta, and 4 weeks till da Shiat.
