THat Drake in Pre-seering?

Does it drop good stuff or is it there just to be cool?

No mobs have specific drops. It's all tabled and random as far as I can tell. And by drake I assume you mean Glint? Just to have the honor and pride in winning!

Uhh no, he's talking about the lightning drake in pre-searing. When you leave ascalon, go left past the ressurection altar and down to the water. You can wade out. It's out there, sometimes slightly around the bend to the right.

It's just there to be killed. I killed that and the rogue bull a few times each because as far as I could tell they were the only level 5 things to kill in pre-searing. I never saw anything higher.

out past the northern wall, the charr are pretty high level i think

You can fight some Charr in the north wall area pre-searing that are like lv 7-8. And there's PLENTY of them. If that's not enough, you can make your way to the dooms-day machine (same area) and fight 4 lv 10 boss mobs.

Ah yeah, I forgot about the charr over the wall. I was thinking of when I soloed, for the charr you had to be with someone else.

I never got as far as the bosses. Too late now. =)

All the Lvl 5 monsters give better drops but there aren't that many. Honestly, I couldn't find the River Drake last time I was in pre-searing and I'm wondering if he was removed. There's a lvl5 Skale monster in a cave near Ashford as well. Most of the other level 5 monsters are associated with a quest can be 1 time kills.

Charr give the best drops though in pre-searing.

I loved pimping that lvl 5 drake... shes after all 100xp... and the only good drops that you get in pre-searing is dye, and there isn't too much of that either.

That drake is funny last time i killed it with my little monk only thing i did whas healing myself

/agreed. Don't waste your time farming in pre-searing. IMO even for the XP is a waste of time as there are much better opportunities and quests in post-sear.

I actually got a blue armor when I saved Ascalon from the Charr that were about to drop a nuclear weapon on it. It identified itself as a Rune of Minor Vigor. I saved the armor, put it in the bank, and later salvaged it into the actual rune.

Unfortunately someone resurrected those Charr and they nuked Ascalon anyway. Poor Gwen.

That level 5 drake near ascalon has been removed as i just took my 3rd character though presear and it was'nt there. I did actually manage to get a purple item from one of the char i killed in the across the wall quest though i forget what it turned out to be.

He was there Monday when I was playing. That sucks, I killed him just for the 100xp, never got anything great off of him item wise.

The XP you get is enemy level relative to yours. He's only exactly 100XP if you are also level five.

I made a level 1 warrior --- on my 1st time zoning it wasnt there

I completed the 1st warrior test, went back to town, then travelled outside again



Drake is in the same old spot

wasnt there for my warrior char. darn random drake.
