So, let me get this straight. I can take my lvl 20 Ascended monk's Armor, put it in storage, build another monk character, and use that same armor?
If so, does it have to be the same secondary?
Storage Transfer?

its not a question of what secondary. its a question of customization. the armor is customized to you name, and because names are unique, only that name can use it. It may be possible however to delete your main recreate the character with the same name and wear the armor, but i would strongly adivse you dont do that.

Why would you make another monk if you already have one?
I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work even if you get the same name for your new monk. Armor and weapon are probably customized to an ID and not to the name you see in game.

Juhanah is correct. "Customized" items are done by some form of character ID that you don't ever see, not by character name. You could dump your armor/weapons into storage and recreate your character using the EXACT same character name and NOT be able to use that armor/weapon!
So basically all you'd be doing is wasting your gold & craft items if you went and got armor and then put it into storage thinking you could them equip it with a new character. Better off just storing those craft items... or if the armor is already made and your detirmened to remake, grab a salvage gear or expert salvage gear and salvage em for whatever craft items you can get from em and store the craft items.
so to the OP, nope you can't do that. Armor is "customized" when you get it, which means it is only usable by THAT character. Doesn't matter if you make a character of the exact same class/class combo with the same name or even a character of the same name with a different secondary, you won't be able to use armor (or customized weapons) from the old/original character as it was made for and only usable by the character ID from the old char, and the new character would have a different character ID.
