Absolute BEST Fire Wand or Flame Artifact!

Does anyone have an idea what the absolute best fire wand or artifact or even Healing Ankh is? Using either Fire Magic or healing? Not talking about the max damage fire wands traded outside of Elona Reach. Anyway, let me know what it is? I'm not the only one interested in this knowledge! Max Damage 11-22 or better with modifications!

Umm, the one traded outside of Elona's reach is the best. It's max damage and has useful powers. Sure a max damage one could randomly drop that has better powers, but that isn't likely at all.

Best I've seen is 11-22 on canes, with some modifiers. I have a cane in my inventory right now, for example, that's 11-22, +10 energy, -1 energy regeneration. I've seen a cane that had +10 and +17 energy with -1 energy regen as well.

Best healing ankh I've seen was +12 energy with only a 7 healing prayers requirement. I don't remember the highest stats I've seen on fire wands and artifacts.

me being a Elementalist/monk i dont use my wand or staff to do damage, i use my skills? i would much rather have one with max energy than damage? does that seem logicall?

Not so illogical, my Elem walks with a Fiery sword.. just for the look of it.. I based my build on close combat (high damage with inferno and other skills) I just need to find some mods for that sword to give more health/energy or decrease dmg..

The wand/staff damage isn't critical, but can still be helpful. If I completely run out of energy I'll often just attack with the rod while it regens so that I can be doing SOMETHING useful (besides standing around looking sexy with my female elementalist self ). Sure I could spam flare almost indefinately and do more damage, but that wouldn't let my energy regen enough to cast the real nukes or heals.

The original question being what was the best. I don't care what one character does in battle, I wanted to know what was the best fire wand, flame artifact or healing ankh.

actually, that sounds like a good idea. From what a guildmate told me, staff upgrade parts do not work on wands (or off-hand artifacts for that matter). But with the sword in the main hand, you can modify it to your needs and combine with the extra energy found in the off-hand items.

Aside from max damage (11-22) and max energy (12 on a focus, 10 on a staff) the rest of the bonus stats you can find on them are going to be up to you to decide which is best. You can get some with +HP, or with +energy, which do you prefer? Or +armor, you like that better? There are other bonuses that can be nice but are generally conditional like +1 to a skill or +x% damage while hexed/attacking/etc. Nobody can tell you what is "best", best you're going to get is a list of possibilities so you can decied what is best for YOU and your build.

It's not a BAD idea, it's just a tradeoff. With a wand/staff, if you run out of energy you can do some damage while standing out of harms way. With a sword, you can customize more, but you have to get in a mobs face to do damage with it and the damage will be pethetic since you can't spec in sword.

Choose the form of your destruction.

Were you the one I was playing with last night?

You are missing several important things there. Less energy, less change of quick cast time or recharge, your best shield will only give you 8 armor.

Compare that with a REAL Ele weapon.

Wand
11-22 damage
+1 energy (while health is above 50%)
20% chance of improved casting speed

Flame artifact
+12 energy
20% chance of improved skill recharge
+5 armor (vs elemental)
+34 health (while enchanted)

And you are running around with a weapon that does 1-2 damage and has 8 armor.

I keep an Eternal Bow and a Nice Magmas Shield/Fellblade with me on my Necro/Ele, but when I am in battle I go back to the real weapon.

You could argue that since you have 12 in energy storage you do not need the extra energy, but I say you need those attribute points in other areas. Hey just the jump from 11 to 12 costs you 20 attribute points.

I did Dragon's Lair and the missions in the desert to ascend only yesterday. And I helped someone with Althea Ashes.. I guess you're that someone!

It's tradeoff using my sword.. but I don't use a shield, I still use a fire artifact off-hand (+12 energy, +24 hp when enchanted (I think)). And when I run out of energy.. switch back to a fire wand and get off the heat of battle and attack with the wand... It's one thing I love with GW, the abitility to switch weapons with one click

I also usualy use a sword on my monk when i put my smiting build on
i dont care about weapon damage as i do around 0 and 5 depending on the mob's defense... the only thing i need is to get to the mob as fast as possible and unload all my smiting skill around... its quite hard to do with a wand... u click on a mob and u start attacking from distance.

back on topic:
for the choice of wand/artifact it always depends on your build. but you will surely want something that add the most energy and improve your skill casting/recharge time. thats the basic.. you may also want to find something with hp bonus in case you use too many major/superior runes

Well you wer not the one using the Dragon Sword and Shield.

I was/am mad about that whole situation.

They were always in the Warriors way.

And if you did not notice the weapon setup I mentioned. That is your standard Wand/Artifact combo in my previous post. There are better out there, but......

I currently use the Fire Wand from the collector outside Elona (11-22, 20% faster cast with fire) and the Fire Artifact from mineral springs collector (energy +12, 20% faster cast, 20% faster recharge).

Only haveing 2 energy regen means it takes a couple of mins for me to regen my 106 energy

I Excentrix I [PuNK]

The best fire wand I've ever seen had 11-22 +15 energy (-1regen) and a high % of fire recharge or cast. I can't remember. It was customized. I've been searching for a wand like it ever since.

With no luck unfortunately. I currently use the boring collectors items

I'm really not a fan of slower energy regen though, that kinda sucks.
