W/Mo vs. Dwarves - some advice?

I normally play in a small group with a W/E, and love group dynamics... but when I want to solo, I turn to my W/Mo, and have been kicking ass with it for some time.

Yak's Bend has posed a bit of a problem though. With 2 dwarf classes that can dis-enchant (howler and sage) and one that can disrupt (axe-wielders), I've had a hard time keeping up. I've tried a couple things:

Attempt One:

My first plan was the tried and true "Mend + Healing Signet to stay alive, beat the shit out of things with various axe abilities, generally own"

Since the Charr Chaots also use shatter enchantment, I'd been using Reversal of Fortune to absorb it when I saw it come up, since it's a little too fast to disrupting chop in the beginning of a fight (when healing signet is key).

Nevertheless, I got owned. Too many dwarf disenchanters means mending gets over-ridden, and I die.

Attempt Two:

I dropped mend, replaced my 3 heal with a 3 protection, and spammed reversal of fortune/healing signet to stay alive. I can take 3 dwarves or 2 ettin with this combo, more dwarves if the 4th/5th are using hammers (more than one axe, and signet gets shot to hell because I can't watch for 2 disrupts)... but anything more than that, and I get schooled.

Diagnosis: My thinking relies too much on maintained enchantments, which I'm pretty good at keeping up in PvE, but are useless against dwarves. Am I missing something? I thought about going smiting + reversal + signet of healing + watch yourself! and spamming signet while symbol of wrath did my killing for me... but that would take forEVER.

Anyway, lemme know your suggestions. I refuse to group or use henchmen as a matter of principle, just fyi (with this character).

I'm thinking of just hiring out all the henchmen and running the dwarf zones as fast as possible. I have a hunch the undead in kryta won't be nearly as hard. =P

woot!

Uh, your problem is probably the healing signet, the double damage you take while using it probably overrides however much you heal yourself for.

Put the bulk of your points into whatever weapon mastery you use, and the rest in healing prayers.

Precast healing breeze going into battle against the interruptors, and use orison of healing when fighting against the dwarven casters that break enchantment.

Edit: I notice that you want to solo the areas? That's pretty much impossible unless you have significantly better gear than you have now and are much higher level. Starting from Yak's bend and forth, it is pretty much impossible to solo through most areas unless you just sprint through it. You'll be outnumbered 4 to 1 or 5 to 1 at best, and they will have healers, which means it'd be nearly impossible for a solo warrior to kill them all unless he has far superior equipment/skills. The game is not made for you to solo, sorry to say.

Also, the undead are far harder the the dwarves. They shatter your enchantments, they poison you, they cripple you, they drain you, etc.

The undead by LA do not bleed, they poison, disease, hex and hit damn hard. Dwarves are good practice belive me

As far as killing summit, just use the good 'ole sever/gash. Bring healing breeze, orison of healing, and symbol of wrath. Keep the breeze up, touch up with orison, and get SoW out whenever it reloads. Always focus fire, even henchies know to how to FF (ctl space)

Watch yourself and restore life would be good additions in a party. There is no soloing in this game past a certain point (w/o hench I mean.) You'll need to take at least alesia in most of your adventuring.

Make sure you're not using Frenzy either. Sure, you stike faster, but take 50% more damage.

good feedback all... but soloing isn't as hard as you all make it out to be. it frustrates me that I can take those level 24's outside beacon's perch with just alesia and a ranger, but I can't take 5 dwarves.

I've done the missions up through the Seaboard with just one friend (we have a W/E and a Mo/Me) no problem.

alright, sigh. henchmen it is for the dwarves.
