Simple enough question, which kind(s) of builds would you suggest for hardcore gold farming, and whereabouts? I know a lot of people farm at the Amnoon desert, or Riverside?

Just lookin' to start making some money and wanted to know the most effecient build/best place for it. Thanks Guys.

for hardcore gold farming you are looking at a team of builds, not solo or henchmen.
Get a dedicated team to farm of ~4 + people with at least 3 Mo/x so you can focus on staying alive while extending gameplay. remember that you can sell items or salvage them, so gold doesn't just come from drops alone

^^^ incorrect ... many people farm solo to reap all rewards ... but I believe farming with a few others increases the value of drops so you may be more likely to get better/rarer drops. This has only been from my practice and is just my theory from what I have noticed when ... alone vs. guildies

And, so as I asked earlier, what kind of build/locale should I be looking at for solo farming?

if you have a strong character, it's better going solo because you get every drop. i went solo a few times and got a few purple, gold and blue drops. in my opinion, if you go loot hunting with humans instead of henchies, your get better drop item ratio. this is just from my experience. for me, there isnt just one exact location for good farming. but i usually get good drops from higher level enemies.

secondly ... top farming is only really found in 1 place ...

weapon = fists
armor = nude
locale = old ascalon

c'mon give your head a shake you can farm anywhere where there is a mob of 6+ close to a portal ... are you seriously asking these questions?

p.s. if you would like me to play your character for you ... send me a pm

Farming also doesn't always have to be done on a bunch of mobs either. I know of a couple single mobs that net you so much it's sick...

I haven’t gotten to the point of doing any farming myself, but it’s not likely you’re going to get a great reply here for a few reasons:

1. This question has been asked a bazillion times already
2. The “best” build will depend on what primary/secondary you are, of which there are a bazillion combinations
3. The “best” build will also depend on what you’re farming, which may reveal where it is people are farming, which may get those locations nerfed

So your best bet is to use the search function, explore a bit and experiment with your build. From what I’ve read, your build should be designed to keep you alive with some decent aoe damage. You’ll see a lot of primary and secondary monk farming builds.

I'm just getting into a small amount of farming. Mostly, I'm not looking for runes. Just crafting supplies and gold. I'm using an el/mo smiting setup.
