Was I supposed to run?

Well I decided to revisit the Norther Wall mission with my smiting E/Mo to help some new players out so I joined a random party and lo behold, there was a level 20 warrior in the party helping the new players out too. Well very soon it became apparent that the warrior and I were racing to kill monsters. He was obviously winning so I started to get mad.

It was then that it dawned on me that I should kill all the charr that come charging at the end. I knew I would win in that situation. Needless to say, it was extremely fun seeing the warrior waddle around while I just nuked the heck out of the advancing charr:

Then another idea struck me. What was beyond the wall? What was beyond what we could see in the cinematic? I started to venture into where the charr had come from and needless to say, I dont think the devs planned on me going there!
