Imagine an indoor arena with large doors on all sides leading to mob spawning areas (which cannot be accessed by players).
A human spawn point is in the centre of this arena.
When the "endurance round" starts, a mob of the lowest level spawns through one of the doors (for example a level 1 carrion devourer). When this mob is defeated by the player, a new mob of the same level is presented to the player (for example a stone elemental level 1).
All monster types will be presented to the player until they are defeated and then they challenge two level 1 bosses of random type.
The process then repeats but the mob levels increase by one each time.
The idea is suitable for all levels of players from beginners to veterans.
Another idea would be to add a voluntary save feature at certain points in the endurance, perhaps every 5 levels to stop people from becoming bored of playing the first easiest mobs.
This could be a team game or for single players but for each extra player, extra mobs should be added.
I would love to see how far i could get, lol.
------------
To further add, i think individual players could gain recognition by having thier name displayed at the bottom of the screen (where the favor messages appear) when they achieve certain waypoints in the endurance rounds.
I think you will agree that this gametype would add significantly to the games life and playability and boost the enjoyment for everyone.
Anyway, feel free to add suggestions/comments
