Best fix in the new patch...

They got rid of that "Royalist Mob" language in the pre-searing quest. I'm glad, cuz that got on my nerves for some reason.

I would have to vote for makeing every rare armor drop actually have a rune. Until yesterday I had gotten ~30 purple/gold armors and had never seen a single major or superior rune. Last nigh I got a gold armor from one of those bird-men and got my first superior rune (energy storage) and I wasn't even farming!

I noticed a bug last night in the Riverside Province mission, Saidra didnt' say anything, in chat or otherwise... o_o;
But anyway, the runes freak me out a little now... They could have kept the old design and put say a rune design ON them to show which was which, by certain symbols or something. The new ones stil bother me a little, they look really cool but freak me out a bit too... XD

I'm with C-Tzar on this one.
I understand them wanting us to play the game for a PvE experience, but with the infrequency of superior rune drops, bots were on the immediate horizon.
I'm sure all PVP players like that one, as well as increased boss monsters on late-game maps to increase the chance to capture elites.
It seems the Devs are still listening pretty closely.

Definately the changes made to finding runes. Making all purple/rare items have runes and all rares have either major/superior. Nothing more lovely than either getting a rare with nothing to identify or a minor rune.

Not sure if all the changes are positive though, but this is just one isolated experience. A couple of high level guild mates were helping to complete a couple of us through the Gates of Kryta mission. Along the way we decided to kill some drakes for their drops.
We got almost nothing. Not even a single blue drop. The most exciting item dropped was a 10-14 staff of some kind. Needless to say we were pretty underwhelmed although I can see it killing drake farming. The poor Drakes take a serious pounding from adventurers looking to squeeze treasure from them.

yes, they nerfed drakes, fleshies, and a certain farming spot my guild used for sup runes that a certain member blurted out in a town with a dev in it

Dev's don't typically stand around in game. At least I've never heard of a dev actually being online ever. As far as I would bet, they saw one of the many posts in regards to farming, maybe even watched some of the videos.

You should be thankfull, A simple solution to farming is to have drops level based, i.e
if you higher level than your foe you get maybe a few gold, if you are 2-3 levels below the level of your foe you gain average loot, standard and blue. If the creature 6-8 or greater levels above you you have the possibility of superior drops, yellows etc.
This system would also work of the highest level member of your group. A high level guildmember could walk a lower level player through an area, but in doing so would nerf the loot drops for the lower level player.

there is no solution to farming thats just it
this game is based off farming skills/itmes to get what you need for PVP
to make stuff drop more often is one thing, but then to make it 10x harder to kill the enemies...how did anyone gain anything from that?

Yeah that's my favorite too. Now I actually have a chance to get some great runes.

I don't think they mad the altered mobs harder just to nerf farming. If I read it correctly, what they did was actually make the different monsters they tweaked operate the way they should have from the get go.
Lightening Drakes were laughable before. THeir so called lightening attacks were a total joke. ANet made them tougher by fixing their broken attacks. Sma ehting with the other monsters they worked on.
Yeah it makes farming a bit harder, but I think they've repeatedly made a point of showing the player base that they don't want this to be a typical game by making farming for upgrades something that they frown on in the first place.

I like my new more-infused henchies. They survived far enough into Ring of Fire that I got the elites I wanted, and that's a definate improvement.
