Hiya, I'm new to these forums, but not very new to GW - been playing it since it officially came out.

Now, I'm playing a cursing/fire/soul reapin N/E20 as my main character and I am having some problems.

First of all I am really bored with my fire magic skills - all of em. I have been using them for about 3 weeks because a lightning drake happened to drop a max damage gold fire staff the first time i did Gates of Kryta. I wanna sell it and somehow get my hands on a max damage gold one-hand weapon and an off-hand gold item. Basically feel free to PM me offers and suggest skills that are NOT only fire magic, but other elements as well.

I tried Elona Reach and Thirsty River for a thousand times before I finally figured out a rather good skill combo that shuts down ragin warriors and rangers both in PvP and PvE:

[Parasitic Bond] -heals for ~102 - problem here is that it heals every 20 seconds or so, yet it has a fast recharge time and can be cast on multiple enemies - I usually cast it on dying foes cuz then i get healed almost immediately.

[Price of Failure] - warriors and rangers get hit for ~27 and miss 25% of the time - costs a bit too much for a caster without energy storage

[Enfeeble] - very nice skill, enemies do 1/3 of their potential damage for ~17 seconds and it costs just 5 energy and has a nice recharge time.

[Faintheartedness] - extremely fast cast speed, 3 health degeneration, extremely slow attack speed - no problems here.

[Conjure Flame] - with this cast on me I do almost 30 fire damage a hit to casters, and almost 15 damage to warriors per hit with my fire staff - it sucks against mesmers and other necros who love to break enchantments, it takes a looong 60 seconds to recharge and is my only means of dealing damage to a single foe.

[Suffering] - used together with Parasitic Bond and Faintheartedness it all adds up to 6 health degeneration for about 25 seconds to a single enemy, and slight energy regeneration to a medium sized group. 15 energy points is good enough, but the recharge/cast times could be a problem in a large fight, but then again it's not as useful in a middle of melee.

[Fire Storm] - 21 damage/sec for 10 seconds is nice vs. casters and war's alike, 15 energy/cast/recharge times are a bit of a problem too.

[Glyph of lesser energy] - of course I wish i could replace it with Glyph of Energy, but even now it lets me cast Suffering or Fire Storm for 5 energy points and recharges at the same rate as the fire storm, if not faster.

I have an average of 48 or so of armor and 42 energy.

Curses is maxed out, Fire Magic is ~11, soul reaping ~7, death magic ~5 (used to have necrotic transversal).

My basic strategy is just to stay the hell away from enemies and to keep my hexes and weakness on them, occasionally casting fire storm and renewing conjure flame.

So my does anybody have any suggestions of how I could improve my char by switching attribute priorities, staff to say a wand/cesta combo, or even my second profession. And about the second profession, which would complement my curses nicely? Which skills should I take to go farming? To provide even better support for my team's casters? Warriors? That sorta stuff. ty!
