Are there any bosses that use this spell anywhere before Droknar's Forge?
Cymmina
No, but "Into the Unknown" from Augury Rock gives it as a quest reward.
Ascension
Follow the NPC tracking, you will kill 3 lvl 22 Hydras - if you follow back the same path also. You kill those 3 Hydras, then go back to town for 1K XP. It's rediculously easy!

This skill combines extremely well with Divine Boon and Channeling. Cast Zealot's Fire and Channeling. You cast Divine Boon on yourself repeatedly (only 5 mana, 1/4s cast, and 0s recharge) to trigger them. You can heal for 200+ points per second, while dealing 60+ DPS, and gaining 2 energy per second per enemy, but you lose 14 energy per second. There are other energy management skills (Divine Spirit, Balthazar's Spirit) that work well, too.
This also combines well with a Healing Prayers build to heal your friends while damaging your foes.

Does party heal works with this ?

Non-targeted PBAoEs will also trigger Zealot's Fire (Inferno, Flame Burst, etc.). Not sure if that is "working as intended".
ElderAtronach
By the description, I'd say it was working as intended, since PBAoE are "used on yourself" so if you have zealot's on yourself, then you will trigger it with PBAoEs

what is PBAoEs

Point-Blank Area of Effect.

This spell also works with Cyclone axe. Making an axe warrior deal high dmg while having this enchant on. Also remember to renew this skill before the enchantment actually ends, so zealot fire will be renewed and while doing so you did dmg using the zealot fire that almost ran out...hope that made sense...

Players are forgetting this is a fire elemental damage. Doesn't do well against heavily armour players

It is also triggerred by ranger pet attacks - pet attacks have no casting time and with expertise can be as cheap as 2 energy, so a very efficient way to spam this.

Don't know if hammer attack skills qualify as using a skill on an ally.

I just used this skill in the end-game (healing Devona) against the Undead Lich and I was, with 11 smiting, doing 70+ HPs of dmg. Either the Lich has really bad armour, takes double damage against fire, or perhaps the skill description is wrong -- and this skill actually does holy damage. If it does holy damage, it is extremely powerful (since many tombs runs have some sort of ward against elements and/or manatra gainst elements, or winter, etc., that should reduce damage to this skill but won't.
super dooper
it does fire damage, 12 in smiting only does like.. 17 or so damage against Blade Aatxe. (pesky fire resistance)

how does zealots work with cyclone axe then if it says wheneva u use a skill on an ally. is this a bug? Surely cyclone axe is an atk skill used against enemies.
Eonwe
If you have Zealot's Fire cast on *yourself* and you use cyclone axe, it will trigger Zealot's Fire.

You don't need to target an ennemy for cyclone axe: it's an attack that you "cast" on yourself. Zealot works for skill on ally (not another ally), so that includes yourself...
Anyone tested again Zealot with Pet since last major upgrade? Any change?

This might be from an update, but divine boon now has a 1 sec recharge .So I'm wondering if draw conditions would work even if that person doesn't have conditions.
Fenix Swiftblade
yes draw conditions can be cast on a person without a condition, and it will trigger zealots fire. However, draw conditions has the same 1&1/4 second cast time as divine boon. One big difference though, you can cast it on others.
Traveller
It seems that Bonetti's Defense won't trigger ZF anymore. If this is true, it will make farming for some a bit more difficult.

None of the tactics skills trigger Zealot's Fire now.
Spura
No more shouts and stances triggering it. Or divine boon. Great change. This skill was making me hate monks more than previously, even though I didn't think it was possible.

Forgive me for my extreme dumbassness, can someone tell me how exactly this is used with smiting? I want to try a smiter build (I want to try all builds) and I keep hearing: Balthy's Aura, Zealot Fire, Judge's Insight, etc, but I don't really know exactly what I would do with them in a battle. Any help?
kvndoom
If you cast ZF then for 60 seconds any spell you cast on yourself triggers the fire damage to enemies adjacent to you. So you could get mobbed and just cast spells you don't need on yourslef to trigger the PBAoE damage. It used to be triggered by stances and shouts also, which made it so spammable that a W/Mo or Mo/W could mow down dozens of melee enemies at once.
jissai
They changed zealot fire so it triggers only if you cast MONK SPELL on OTHER ally.
mr_noname111
not other ally. u can cast on yourself. i just tried it

Correct. I still solo with zealot's. And you can use it on an ally.
