Best Combos

Whats the best combo with warrior and whats the best far range combo ranger/mesmer or what

...

Here we go again.. *sigh*

You'll find that in this game, there is no such thing as "the best combo."

Sure, there are great builds for what purpose you're going to do.. but again, that build will have a specific purpose that they're made for. There is no overall all powerful combination, and there is a counter for everything.

First, you need to figure out what you want your build to do -- disrupter, nuker, healer, debuffer, etc. Then, you choose skills that will help this role. This is very important in PvP, of course, but PvE is much looser.

If you don't want to jump straight into PvP, and I don't recommend that you do before getting a bit more knowledge on builds and skills, I would just recommend that you first find what you want to do. Figure out what skills interest you, and then use your own judgment to find YOUR best combo -- the one that best suits your needs.

If you need inspiration, the articles on the main website has some great and even unusual builds. General questions like "find me the most powerful build with these professions" don't really make sense in this game. Find a purpose, first.

Seriously, like Aria said there is no best combo in the game. Almost everything can be countered, so as long you choose your skills carefully you should be ok. Read the guides on the site and then re-think your build.

like the above post's state there is no great combo that will rule all, but from my expierence its this with a warrior/nec, its cast a DOT on 2 or more enemies that way you will do damage to them both and get health back from them both, then use sever artery/gash on a third enemy, so by the time you get back to killing the first 2, theyre at half health and you can just kill them right off

Maybe in the arena. Tomb or GvG are entirely different stories. Against good teams, life transfer or siphon would get removed within like 3 seconds. Not saying that war/nec are bad, but a good warrior is a warrior that fits within the team build.

That brings another point. Your class and skill selection will depend a lot on what you are planning to do and how you (and your team) play. Builds can be optimized for PvE, PvP, arena, tomb, or GvG. For example, an amity/pacifism build which work great in PvE and good to some extent in GvG would probably not work so well in tomb because a lot of times you are facing against multiple teams, not just 1vs1.

We SERIOUSLY really really seriously need a sticky of a very good explanation of the core concept of this game. SERIOUSLY

All who think we need a sticky of what the concept of this game is (level cap, best combo, etc...) say "AY YI YI"

the problem is theres still people who dont read the stickies, i see tons of people posting their own suggestion threads when there is an official suggestion thread at the top of the page...
