iron in to steel

Hi I was just wondering where I turn my iron in to steel in what town or what vendor. I know that this is a nb question but I need to know. I hope I dont get burned to bad on this one hahaha

hehehe..you won't. A trader is located just outside Fort Ranik, you can't miss him.You will need 10 iron ingots, 1 charcoal, and 200 gold to make steel though. More traders are available later on in the game that also sell steel but since I don't know where you are, this is the closest trader from ascalon.

where do i get coal? ; )

From the same person, he sells both steel and coal..

also you can get coal from drops, thats where i get mine

what drops coal I have never found any?

Just get woods and turn them into coals. Same material traders will provide a service.

ok now where is the vendor that turns wood in to coal? man o man this is getting to be to hard I think I will need a drink after I get this all worked out. hahaha

I'd rather bypass all that and expert salvage all the metal items I find. Doing this, I salvaged 30 steel ingots today in just 2 and a half hours of farming.

Stone Golem type creatures drop coal, but the drop rate is pretty low.

Why not, instead of spending on the Iron and Coal and 200gp for each steel, buy them off of the multitudes of people that sell in either Ascalon or Lions Gate or Fort Ranik in district 1 or 2? I bet, if you looked hard enough, you could find steel for 175gp each!

I'm with Helios, I salvage all my own and have always had more than I know what to do with.
