Smiting Warrior
kienzan
Ok, this is my build:
20 Warrior/Monk
12 Smite Prayers
4 Strength
14 tactics
Watch Yourself! - Shout- Party members gain +20 armor for 11 seconds.
Shield Stance - for 19 seconds, while weilding a shield, you block 75 percent of all incoming attacks, but move 33 percent more slower.
Healing Signet - you gain 140 health. You have -40 armor while casting spell.
Signet of Judgement - Elite Signet. Knock down target, he/she and everyone around them gets hit for 63 damage.
Bane Signet - Signet. Target foe gets hit 50 damage and is knocked down.
Banish - Target foe gets hit 49 damage. No casting time.
Symbol of Wrath- All foes around u take 27 damage per second for 5 seconds.
Rebirth- summon someone's corpse to you, taht person is rezzed and cant use abilities for 10 seconds.
In PVE, I have all all low mana spells that give me great aggro, and I literally am almost undying in defense. I use a smiting rod btw =D.
In PVP, I basically can area of effect with small cost, take a crap load of hits, and knock down. Of course I switch rebirth with rez signet.
What do yall think? Any abilities I should switch? Anything would be appreciated.

Healing signet is suicide in PvP. Especially since against a good group warriors will probably be the last guys standing after monks, eles, mesmers, etc. You will get spiked like mad. Symbol of Wrath doesn't stay around you, it remains stationary. So you use it and your target runs off, they can get out of the range of the symbol of wrath. (which is incidentally about 5 feet.)
Rebirth is a pretty awful choice, if you're going to bring a rez and aren't going to use the Attribute points to advance it, bring Ressurect, un-attributed, and nice range too.
Also, you have no reason to be a warrior if this is your build, you have no offensive weapon skills. You might as well be a monk/warrior. Warrior can have awesome attack power if you use it correctly.
One of the skills I suggest you incorperate is judges insight. It makes your attacks do holy damage and have armor penetration. Also shield stance will not help in PvP, the warriors usually are wailing on monks, not getting wailed on. Plus, warriors only have 20 energy, (unless you have glad, then it's like 29.) but you don't have the energy to support such heavy casting. In short, I recommend this.
Bring some adrenal warrior damage skills, replace tactics with strength(armor penetration) replace Rebirth with the skill "Ressurect" (not ressurection signet.) Bring a sword or an axe for gods sake, a warrior with a smiting rod? If you don't want to make any of these changes I suggest this.
Make a monk, it seems like you want to be one anyway.

You kinda didnt read my post. I switch rebirth with rez signet when in pvp. Rez signet is needed because I bring back with full health and mana, and usually with a good amount of warriors 1 per mission is all thats needed.
Usually in Hall of Heroes there are so many people around that they dont notice me casting area of effect, only cost 5 energy.
My spells mostly are signets, and nothing gets more than 5 energy of cost.
I am a warrior for the 14 tactics and armor.
My offense is nukes and signets.
Why waste a skill for judges insight when all I do is holy damage initially.
I can't really see anything that you say credible at all. Oh well, see ya.

So how fast can you take down a running target ? Usually your target should be a monk which usually doesnt fight back. Bane signet out the door. Signet of Judgement have a recharge - you hit the spell caster ONCE - ohhh 63 damage....one orision of healing would heal 120. I am sure the monk is really scared now or the spell caster too.
Plain and simple as a Warrior you need to catch targets, keep em down or cripple them then keep constant damage on them. You have a few spikes a banish and a signet of Judgement - your damage output sucks, no snare, no adrenaline attacks.
As a warrior/monk every hit should be around 20 or more and every 2-3 seconds you should pile on at least 80. I can't wait to meet you in the tombs...I'll laugh in your face when you come running with your Harry Potter Wand and feeble spells....
Get a grip - or change professions.

Yeah seriously that won't work as well, first of all warriors don't have much energy and the build you've done is more like a PvE farming type build. Your better of as a M/W and be a farmer with that build because most of your skills aren't spammable and plus you dont have that kind of energy to spam good anyway and most skills are easily avoided since they rely on either people near you or to be attacking you.

Lmfao whats with so much people freaking out. i post one thing and u got poles up yer ass or something!
I'll look over my build to make it just for u cause it affects you THAT much. Its a PVE build dude, get over it. I was just wondering how it is in pvp, don't have to freak out on me. I bet I could kill more monsters faster than any nuker.
In PVP I use a warrior monk with just the things u guys tell me. I use more of a sword and tactics technique. I just have the monk abilities for rez and stuff.

No one's freaking out, you wanted advice on your build, which is terrible, and they told you so. First, you don't want tactics that high, if at all. Next, if you want to do sustained DPS, you need a weapon attribute, probably at 12, maybe 16. You want strength higher, and a warrior in organized PvP has absolutely no call to bring any self heals or defensive skills. By the time they're useful, your party's dead, and you're only delaying the inevitable. You have to break out of the mindset that a warrior is a tank in PvP, there is no such thing. The closest thing would be a randomly targeted monk, but even that isn't wholly true. Next, bane signet only knocks down attacking foes, not all, and banish has a 1s cast time, not 'no casting time.' SoW doesn't make all foes around you take damage, it makes all foes in the area you cast it take damage, so they can move a few feet away, and be fine, you have to follow, but SoW won't. Watch yourself and Shield stance have no place on your bar, save watch yourself for a mo/w and leave shield stance for PvE. If you want to do damage as a warrior, run with 16 weapon attribute, high strength, and possibly something from your secondary. A warrior is good because he has sustained DPS that isn't as dependant on other factors like a caster's is, and trying to turn him into a casting smite monk is a terrible idea. If you insist on bringing smite skills, make them strength of honor, or in some cases, judge's insight.

Ya dude you asked for advice, I'm sure taht build works in Ascalon Arena, but in hoh you're going to need a different tactic
Santanus_Perro
w/mo smiting build I am using:
attack skill (sword, hammer, axe)--my build is with sword--
swordsmanship 14 (11 +3)--duelist helm plus major rune
strength 11 (10 +1)--minor strength rune
smiting 10
one point left over
bring
flurry (never frenzy, all damage is critical hits if you use frenzy)
sever artery (to start bleeding)
gash (to lower enemies total hp by 20 %)
judges insight
savage slash (good skill interrupt skill, plus does big time damage if the skill was a spell)
galraths slash
final thrust
rez signet (for pvp)
obviously, you may want to replace something with hundred blades, but since i do not have the skill yet, i do not use it
you could also use an enchantment skill instead of judges insight to do 7 additional damage per hit, but the lower energy regeneration is a real killer
The best way to get around this build is to blind it, or put up stances that evade/miss/block. Besides not doing damage, your adrenal skills are not charging.

I believe why kienzan got slightly ticked off was by comments like this. There are good and bad ways of telling someone that he/she is wrong. Say it the wrong way that person will not want to be corrected cos he/she is pissed off. So next time we try to correct someone, let's do it in a positive and polite manner. And remember this is an international community, words mean different things in different countries.
Get a grip might not seem harsh to u but to others it might mean u're scolding him/her..

i think hammer guys are the best. i for one am sick of see all these people with no cahonas to get into the middle of the fight. try doing the game with absolutly no warriors see how far they get..lmao
all professions have pros and cons. as for me and my crew we like my hammer..lol
