perdition rock's cursed

hi, i was wondering if anyone knew how to trigger the elite skills from dwayna's cursed and lyssa's cursed. i tried straight out pummeling them to dragging the fight to a snail's pace, they just dont give it up to me.
well, on a similar note... well, different monster same rock, i just spent well over an hr trying to capture echo from Rwek Khawl Mawl. he spawned 4 times in over 40 runs for me. (might've been even over 50, i lost count). 2x's he didnt use his skill. once i was just about to finish capping it and he blasted a cry of frustration on me. the irony literally made me sick.... well, 4th time was the charm, but its about 4:30 in the morn here. being dead tired really tried my patience. im gonna lose alot of sleep over that Rwek nonsense. ah, sorry, just had to vent there.
well, i digress, if anyone can please tell me how they got the cursed's to bust out their elite skills, i'd be much appreciative.

The trick to get powerblock from lyssa's cursed is that you have to bring some spells that take a long time to cast. He will then interupt you with a powerblock but be quick to use the capture signet since he is also spamming wastrels worry.

Not to sure about Dwayna(didn't need Martyr, so I just wasted her). But for Lyssa, I took all the caster henchies, found her, and just sat back till I saw Power Block. Oh and you have to be fast since Power Block is a fast spell and she spams Wastrels alot(though it isn't as difficult to grab as some warrior skills).

Another trick is to highlight the boss(but don't initiate the combat) and justy walk up to the mob. This helps in certain cases, like Rhek Khawl Mawl, who cast their elites at the very beginning of the fight.

Just keep in mind that the boss has to have a reason to use a particular skill. If Martyr removes conditions from allies, guess what you have to do?

damn...u guys are unlucky i supose..it usually takes me like 2-3 runs to find/spawn the boss i need and i get the elite everytime i encounter the boss...sheesh looks like im the only one?

No, you're not the only one. I had to re-zone 20 times just to get the hydra mesmer boss (Rhek Khawl Mawl ?) to spawn. I believe echo is always the first spell he casts so you just have to run straight to his location and immediately use the soc if he is there.

I don't have a problem finding boss's on the rock. its gets rather intense fighting 2 of them at once though esp just with henchmen. But i've kill most of them at least 3 or 4 times now.

Echo alone probably took me over 50 reloads to get. He spawned a total of 5 times out of those reloads I'd say. 2 of those times he spawned too close to the jade armor and got killed by spectral agony just when I got there. One time he didn't use the spell at all. Another time he used it but another hydra cast meteor shower and knocked me down just when I was finishing capturing it T_T Finally I got it on the last try with him engaging the Jade armor (I thought it was gonna be a fail again, but lo and behold he casts it!!!) and I got it right before he died.

matyr was hard to get for my monk i brought another monk friend with me so he could "hex" and cause conditions on the foes surrounding dwayna's cursed while he did that i just stood back and watched the boss (its a spell that removes conditions and transfers to you if memory serves correct) dont get discouraged

If you're trying to hench Martyr, bring Cynn, because many of the conditions the henchmen normally cause don't work on flesh golems, but good old "on fire" works on everything.
