Disclaimer:
Sorry, if this idea has been brought up before, my board search didn't come up with this result, so I though I'd just post my idea. Correct me if this has already been proposed. Also don't hate me for my bad english, it's not my mother tongue as you see. =D
What this thread is about:
Reducing the item/rune grind for PvPers via enchancing the current identification system.
What this thread is not about:
PvPers vs. PvEers, UAS, the current skill acquirement system. Keep that out, plz - there are enough threads for that flamewar.
The problem:
The current situation makes it really hard for players to get all the attribute runes and weapon enhancement ingame unlocked for their PvP characters. Identifying a weapon/armor is always a gamble as you don't really know if you'll actually unlock the needed superior vigor rune or if you'll get the 15th minor smiting prayers rune. Every rune/item can only be identified one time.
My solution:
Unlock an item's stats by using a identification kit on every item ingame, even if it has already been identified. So if you'd got a Sundering Longbow of Marksmanship handed to you by a friend, you'd simply identify it and get both weapon enhancements unlocked for you PvP characters. If you happen to find a superior vigor rune in a armor part, you'd simply ID it and then get on with business. You could then give it to everyone in your guild to get them the rune themselves, you could sell it, you could integrate it in your armor, just as you wish. You could even build it into your armor and give that armor to others for identification later.
a) Not having to farm for every rune/item yourself would reduce the grind for items greatly.
b) The current economical inflation would be reduced due to much higher numbers of available items for everyone. People could even start a "rune renting service" just like a library.
c) PvPers and PvEers wouldn't be split up, like in other solutions that have already been presented. People will still need to farm and do missions, but the time spent with PvM could be greatly reduced for many of us.
Thanks for reading, now give me your opinions please.
