Guild Wars Sneaking in to Real Life?
wwwgeek7
Someone at work complimented the top I was wearing this morning and I almost said, "This old thing? I've had it since before the searing."
Has anyone else been on the verge of 'losing it'?

That was simply a mix up of words..you were probably currently thinking about GuildWars at that moment, and that was blurted out.
Or GuildWars has..STOLEN YOUR SOUL!! *Insert Thunder and Lightning*

It's sneaking into my life... I always talk about it, where ever I go, even if no one knows what I'm talking about. I try to get everyone I know to play it... Oh well.

I have found myself reading a web page or watching a commercial when suddenly my eyes immediiately dart to, and a quick feeling of excitement hits me, as I see yellow or violet text on a page or on the TV. :P

I play a warrior, my brother a monk. We're walking in the mall, I'm walking quickly though to get what we need and finish, he's about five feet behind me for the majority of the time.
Talk about a Guild Wars flashback.

When I walk my dogs I feel like I need to watch for Charr. My green jacket in RL matched my Ranger garb as well.

I randomly dance around my house, and I find myself dancing like the character I most recently have been playing...except for the ranger, I can't seem to get that spin going without smacking my head on the fridge.

I try to right-click everything on screen and rotate to get a better view... and then I realize I am in Microsoft Word and not GW. -_-;;;

Yes, it is sneaking into real life... disturbing...
Somebody was talking about the Amazon (or some other jungle), and I had the compelling urge to say, "Oh, isn't that similar to the Maguuma"...
Personally I have all but stopped watching TV, but I still stay on the internet for an hour or two. Shame on me

I always try and keep a 20 foot distance between me and my wife, so I don't aggro her.
(Okay, I'm making this up for gag factor...I'm not even married)

I have to thank my lucky stars that I haven't caught this bug. I had it for awhile with doing things on the computer but since I've been sort of out of the mood to play anything lately it hasn't effected me. I know, I know, I'm a GW nut but it's been one of those weeks...
Y'know it'd be funny if someone started talking about the president of the US saying something about GW, and you think "Guild Wars" instead of "George W." XD

One of my friends is afraid to try GW, because it is all I ever talk about anymore LOL.

I'm a teacher in a small semi-rural school on the Oregon Coast. I know of three students and two teachers that play GW from time to time....the other day I was walking to class and heard someone holler, "Hail, Twin Raven!" I turned to look...damned kid, standing there with a goofy grin on his face. Without mising a beat I responded, "Hail, Delrock Hammerstaff...get your butt to class, the bell's about to ring and you'll be tardy."

No, I don't find that I'm blurring the lines between virtual and vital reality at all.
I mean, sure I'm finding it hard to keep more than eight things in my pockets at any one time. And more than forty-five in my briefcase.
And sure, I find myself waiting for a loading screen every time I walk through a door.
And sure, driving to work when I get stuck in the latest traffic jam I find myself looking for the map button so I can instant travel. I mean, I've been there already, I should be able to return to my work outpost whenever, right?
But really, I think I've got a good grip on things. Now if you'll excuse me I have a date tonight and need to respec from my work build.

ahahahaha, way to go sausaletus. That fit so well.
The worst i'd have to say for me is that practically all my regular friends play the game with me, so we wind up usually calling each other our in-game names in real life and our real names in game...lol

My main problem is that I keep hearing the soundtrack for the login screen everywhere I go(Grocery store, mall, Wal-mart) and automatically start looking for the computer.

I had a nightmare about the sand worm last night and woke up in a cold sweat, no joke LOL

Very nice Twin, I love it! It's going to be scary the day I become a teacher and my students play games that I do... that will be freaky indeed...
Guild Wars, the next inner joke between Students and Teachers, who would have thought eh?
I constantly try and use the right mouse to move things myself, or try and move a file from my desktop to another part of my computer instantly with the righ tmouse button, and I STILL try and use the W, S, A, D etc keys for movement in games that only use the arrow keys to move...
EDIT: I've had Guild Wars dreams off and on since before the release... They were kinda cool but some were just me trying to get a new set of armor... kinda odd, can't really recall them. If I have one that ends up being a nightmare, ... well then I know I need a break.

My GW dreams are usually about trying to find the path that leads to where the green arrow is pointing. I wake up irritated and frustrated. Not really good don't ya know.

Once I lost a ball in some tall grass, and I tried to hold down the alt key to find it.

After telling some random guy I was playing basketball against I wish I could cast imagined burden on him to slow him down, my friend and I discussed which classes we most well represented from guild wars when playing basketball. We concluded that he was a warrior because he always charges into the lane and knocks people down, and I was a ranger because Im always sitting in the back sniping 3s.
