Cape Question - modify own cape only

I'm in a guild and a lowly member. But I noticed that when I talk to the "cape person" they let me choose options for modifying my cape. So can I modify it? Or when I go to click on accept will it say "Sorry you don't have access to this" or something like that? It seems odd that I can go in and fiddle with all the cape options if I'm not allowed to change it. I haven't tried yet since it's 2k a pop. I wanted to make sure what will happen before I comit the time to designing one.

you can use the cape design interface, but you won't be able to apply it to your guild. Only the guild leader can change the cape (not even officers).

Maybe take a screenshot of your cape in the design panel then send it to your guild leader

It won't let you hit accept and only guild leaders can change the cape, its just so you can play around with it I think. You can't have individual designs unless you start your own guild and such.
