Cursed Archer Build

This is something I have been wanting to toy with since looking around last night.

N/R
Put points in Marksman, Curses, and Soul Reaping.

I figured since Marksman and Curses both use energy, take definite advantage of soul reaping to help maintain Energy. Any ideas of skills I should use, and if this kinda build is even feasible?

I'm trying to also figure a way to maintain health as well since Necromancer's aren't really known for their armor heh. Should I maybe sacrifice a few points in Curses and put some into Wilderness and use Troll Unguent? Or would it be smarter to put more points in Curses and sacrifice some Marksman for Wilderness? Or am I just worrying too much about making sure I have a means of healing myself? lol. Or...is there something I'm over looking in Curses or Marksman that may help maintain health as well?

btw, this is for a PvE character. Maybe PvP..doubt it though heh.

Unguent is the most overrated Ranger ability there is.

This build is better accomplished as a R/N, rather than a N/R. Reason being is that in the long run, Expertise will be way more effective a saving you energy than Soul Reaping could ever hope to be when it comes to spamming bow skills. 6-7 points of energy every time something dies is a pittance compared to 50% off the cost of a majority of your skills.

I personally don't worry too much about self heals. Have a little faith in the Monk. I suppose if you really wanted them though, Blood Magic skills will do you better than Unguent ever will.

hehe the reason for N/R is purely for Aesthetic pleasure I'm one of the people who care about how my character looks as well hehe.

And, maybe it's just been bad experiences with Monks. But most I run into in groups sit there and heal themselves while they try to also combat. It kinda makes me wanna run and jump and make a W/Mo like alot of people so I can heal myself while fighting

You're in luck. Rangers are vastly cooler looking than Necros.

Kidding, kidding. To each his own. its just going to be extremely rough trying to do anywhere near what a Ranger can do with a bow without Expertise, as you won't be able to spam skills quite like a Ranger does, and consequently, you won't output a lot of bow damage (You may still be able to use it for things like Distracting Shot, however). Really, you won't be getting the full benefits of Soul Reaping either, as you won't have hordes of minions constantly dying and replenishing your energy, since you're not a minion nec.
The Necro profession seems to support the Ranger better as a secondary much better than Ranger supports Necro.

Is it doable yet? Is it an efficient build? Probably not. Is it totally your decision? Absolutely.

And as for healing, I still think a major part of Guild Wars is learning to trust and rely upon your teammates to do their jobs, even in PUGs. There are things more useful to your team that you can fill the slot you'd save for Troll Unguent with, and that's what 's really important.

Thanks for all of your answers guys!

and I did decide to go with the R/N instead It seems it would much more benefit me in the long run!
