Skill Points = Grind

Skill Points serve no purpose except to slow players from aquiring skills. What must we do to unlock the 80-90% of the skills we need for our PvP characters? We must run the Fissure of Woe or the Underworld several times... To get a single skill. After you buy about 60 per character, you're essentially at a loss for skills. When you finish all the missions and are at level 20, you instantly hit a wall, and there isn't much you can do about it. This gets increasingly worse when you decide to change professions. What's the use in changing professions if you can't buy skills for your new secondary? The increasing gold amount required to buy each skill is quite enough of a wall to stop people from instantly getting every skill in the game on one character. Destroying the skill points system would yield many relieved PvPers.

true...i changed from necro/ele to mesmer to warrior to monk and at that point i have no skill points to get monk skills, nor do i have any quests left that give me skills...it is very tedious indeed.

I have two characters i use for skill aquiring, it helps with the increasing gold cost, and since you can quest for most skills (Meaning you don't have to waste skill points)... your skill points can be better used at buying secondary class skills, and "triple class" skills... i don't know, but i havent had a problem with my two characters getting skills for all of the classes... not near all yet, but i'm lazy and i only get skills i need... I don't see a point in buying skills i know i wont ever be using... that's just dumb...

Not all classes require you to buy all skills. If you are a warrior and use axes, strength and shields, you don't need sword or hammer skills. If you find skills you have no interest in using, don't buy them. I guess the point is, you don't have to get all skills for the sake of having them all. The ones I've gotten from questing are often pretty good and in some cases, more than I want. I occasionally buy a skill, but not often. In fact my W/E doesn't even have flare and one of the skills I bought is in his usable slots, maybe two.
