the primary skill slots involve the things needed
(which aren't in existance as of yet)
which keep you alive when things are getting tight and you need to buy some time to accumulate some mana/adrenaline...
primary moves include...
duck (dodge the next sword melee attack)
sprint/run (something all people should have and not just warrior)
dodge (dodge projectile attack)
elite dodge (blah blah blah)
so forth and so on, etc.
you get my point
these help you outside of your profession in the every day world
all of these cost either nothing or adrenaline
(which should be implemented on all classes for now on..)
ADRENALINE BASED MAGIC!!!!
if warriors have to wait 10 seconds to deal 70 dmg
how come elementalists can deal 200 dmg in 2 seconds
how do they get the necessary mental capacity to spit out super duper fire flames out their hands instantanously without getting mentally prepared for such a feat...
(don't get upset yet.. such adrenal/ magical essence PREP spells will be implemented to speed you up like always, but not just instant flame ON JOHNNY TORCH!)
so now... higher level MAGIC MOVES ARE ADRENAL BASED
and SIGNETS must now "BE BURNING" with energy for use
that means, like the magic ring of power or sting that detects the trolls
these magical items must burn with energy before you can use them
they burn due to dmg, success or failure in a fight, much like adrenaline
RING SLOTS
the ring slots are away from the basic 8/8
depending on your class, you can wear 1, 2, or even 4 rings at once
in PVE, you may put on a ring to use it...
such as a victorious celebration dance of resurrecting your allies because you were the only survivor... or perhaps resurrection scrolls which are carried in the inventory (can only be used when not in combat)

for pure strike against ranger

final thrust and galrath can be together without forgetting the ever useful healing signet ring...
resurrection ring will always be there people!

this also helps warriors the most because wasting slots on mobility and rez rings, and healing rings were the things that kept the warrior from actually having more than 3-4 moves dedicated only to swordfighting... meanwhile a monk has 8 moves dedicated to his profession.. that of healing and taking care of the party... all across the board, things will equal out...

this would completely change the mechanics of the game. ain't gonna happen. ain't all bad ideas, just it would be a completely different game and things would have to be changed other than just teh way skills are used to accomodate this.

Not to mention that more than 1 elite, even if only 1 from each class, and you're open for some real nasty combos, such as Order of the Vampire + Barrage, there's a good 100pt heal right there if done right and would generally more than make up for the 17% sacrifice you make to use OotV. I'm certain there are quite a few others that would be sickening.

I still think the allusion someone made magic is valid. You have all these cards(skills) to chose from that do all sorts of stuff, some singularly powerful other even more so in conjuction. but you can only have so many cards in your deck(slots). Its up to you to create the best deck you can with the cards you have. some decks are more able to take on certain decks then others. Some are designed to take out specific types. There is no ultimate deck as there is always a design to take it out.

if they add it it will probably be in the next expansion. They will give people what they want but since their is no monthly fee they will release it with expansions which cost money.
Why would they relase stuff people wanted and then have an expansion with only land expansion and nothing else. If they did less people would be interested but with stuff people want in it that equals more buyers.

CONCENTRATION.. WHATEVER...
ELITE SPELLS - you may mix offering of blood with some awesome spell
martyr with plague signet...

normal spells are made more applicable to the game (some of which are still not)
more spells are made to negate the ULTIMATE UNDEFEATABLES...

Hey, why not have a button, for example, left click, that uses all your skills instantly without requiring energy or any other payments, and applies it to all targets within twelve-thousand kilometers?
Elite skills are elite because you can only have one. Therefore, that section of the idea is void. Most classes don't have enough Signets to fill a bar of eight. That too is pointless. Most Monks don't attack, so why should they be required to just to use Heal Area, or any other Monk spell? Having those "Primary skills" would render a number of already available skills, such as Dodge, Sprint, and a number of Warrior skills pertaining to blocking the next attack, such as Riposte, useless.
There is a reason you only have eight skill slots. Because then you have to decide what's best. If a Mesmer keeps shutting you down, bring interrupts. But that means the rest of your team is going to have to make up for your lack of damage. Or get your own Mesmer.
In any case, if we had all those skill bars, how do you propose we use them? 1-8 for regular skills, you're out of keys. Unless you want to use the number pad. Hey, why not just do Ctrl, Alt, or Shift, so that when you're trying to type you end up using Blood is Power and kill yourself, or instead of calling a target with a skill, you use something completely different.

mistre B casts arcane mimicry which is not an elite spell... he steals mister A's elite spell.. so that one thing that was gonna save mister A's ass... is now gone... and mister B uses it on mister A... hahahahah i win....

and distraction shot whenever warrior trys to do healing signet
when warrior trys to stop ranger from doing healing spring with distracting slash
warrior notices that the ranger is in a stance and dodging
((i forgot.. i mean.. didn't have room to bring any of those good attacks that don't break "ranger" stances anyways... perhaps they only break warrior stances))
ranger gains his life back... warrior dies a horrible death from poison which in diablo he was immune to anyways... but heaven forbid we think that way.. cuz i ****ing hate diablo with a passion...

So, where do you propose to put 24 or more skills in the game window?
Why should an Elementalist have to wait to use Phoenix, then wait for it to recharge, then wait to use it again? That's the point of the recharge time, so they cannot spam it.
A Warriors against a Ranger, the Warrior could win. A Warrior against a Mesmer, the Warrior could win. A Warrior against a Monk, the Warrior could win. Why? Because the game depends on player skill. If the Ranger is hiding in the corner, the Warrior can just wait for the traps to disappear. If he tries to reset him, the Warrior can hit him once with a bow and interrupt him. If he uses Lightning Reflexes, use Cyclone Axe. Mesmer has no armor compared to a Warrior, so if a Warrior got close, they can just Hamstring and keep hitting. If they fight with a Monk, they never take damage, and use a Disrupting Chop or Hammer Bash to prevent healing.
Of course everything has a way to get away from Warriors for a little while. Because Warriors have the highest armor under normal circumstances, do the highest damage under normal circumstances, and have brutal skills that anyone who isn't prepared will surely succumb to.
But you're still missing the most important point. This is a team game. There is no Warrior versus Ranger, because the Warrior has a Monk backing him up, and an Elementalist casting Meteor at that very moment. The game is fine the way it is.

Casters already have this system in place ~ it's called energy cost per cast + recast timers ( sometimes health sacrifices etc as well )
I'm not going to discredit all the ideas you'd presented, but I would like to simply point out that GW is a game based on balance ~ try and always keep in mind that there's ( typically ) 7 other names listed there in the party window ... that *your* characer isn't meant to be able to do everything within the skills they have at all times, but rather work with your party members to achieve a common goal ( winning )

my monk is fine, word of healing... turn near dead ally into 75% life ally for 5 mana
my warrior is pathetic.... do nothing... die

UNTIL THIS IS ESTABLISHED and you guys don't get to get away with AVOIDING MELEE altogether... oh.. healing seed... you deal life instead of death.. hahahahaha...
oh.... price of failure... you miss and take dmg... hahahahaha... oh... empathy... you feel sorry for hurting me... hahahahahahah..... and the ranger of course... doesn't even meet my warrior in melee... because... well i'm ****ing dead...

You don't seem to understand the mechanics of PvP. You have 3-7 teammates with you, correct? If a mesmer is locking you down, that is all they are doing, and a smart team will coordinate to bring them down and thus free you up. Mesmers have the weakest armor in the game, did you know that?

As politely as I can put this, I do think you simply need to relax a little and take a step back and view how a warrior works from the perspecive of a different class ~ perhaps even create some other characters to see where the balance does indeed exist.
All classes can die ~ none are *unstoppable*. Its up to you and your teammates to decide a common tactic to try and best cover your bases, the individual skills of the players to implement those tactics.
As a Necro , yes I can slow your damage output, cause your damage to effect your teammates around you etc ~ and in turn as a warrior you can cause me to bleed, cripple me, interrupt my spells and deal a large amount of damage with your weapon alone that my small amount ( in comparison to yours ) of armor and health little innate defence against unless I choose to bring skills specifically to counter that with me, or I have a solid team of monks on my side.
Your weapon alone , no skills involved and only taking wep attribute + strength into account, can outdamage the best / rarest necro weapon in the game.
Again, GW isn't meant as a *single player* style pvp game ~ it's designed in such a way that your specific character is part of a team, one which must work closely together in order to succeed. All in all then, it sounds like perhaps you simply need to find / group with some more solid players on the whole. Believe me, in PvP a skilled warrior on a good team will be the absolutely hardest member of that team to take down, and it's usually only after the corpses of their team's monks, mes, necs and eles are in a pile around their feet. ( and no, I've not forgotten Rangers ... played well they're fairly tough to take down as well

this arguement maintains that rangers/mesmers and monks are built to last
if you've been to HOH... its all about endurance...
occasionally some ELEMENTALISTS will bring the fire/lightning and squash em
but if they are against a GOOD UNIFORM TEAM...
i mean... they are all the same class of monks all monking eachother for 5 mana
with unlimited heals and protections
then any team that fights
they will be NEGATED BY HEALS
LOCKED DOWN by mesmers
AND SHUT OUT BY rangers
warrior needs more immunity to BS ... BALTHAZAR BEING GOD OF WAR... wouldn't allow his warriors to get raped by DWAYNA, LYSSA and MELENDRU all day
necro needs more demonic powers of strength with a sacrifice
such as DEMONIC CLAWS..
which give you base 20 melee dmg where you could literally rend the flesh of the non-divine
GRENTH protects those who pleasure him most...
basically
the physical 1v1 nearby close ranged melee IS NON EXISTANT
that is the ending underlying statement that all of you MUST RECOGNIZE.. g money...
even if i go chopping into you undetained... it will be 5-10 seconds before i can deal more than 50 dmg... when a healer ... just heals you for 250 dmg... with word of healing... LIKE I'VE ALREADY SAID...
