Oh, now come on. Before asking a question, look it up on Guild Wars Guru, because chances are if it's ever been asked by anyone ever, the Gurus have already answered it. It's like a team a geeks and a team of psychics both got hit by radiation to form an unstoppable race of psychic-RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing-geeks who plan for world domination to steal our gigahertz.

I was just thinking that perhaps when one guild fights another; say a top ranked guild against one that isn't so highly ranked -- that the number of NPCs and other terrain features could be varied slightly as to produce a handicap? This could help ballance game-play when experienced players are at less experienced ones. Just thinking. To make the experienced guilds "ok" with this, handicap tournaments that generate a loss don't count on the official record.

People with skill shouldnt be handicapped simply because they are "better" if the chars are all around level 20 then thats fair to me, let the players skill, tactics, and luck determine the outcome. Just because someone has a higher rank dosent mean they should be handicapped.
PS. and no im not in some huge ranked guild, we are currently 517th but i know i dont want to raise to the top due to some handicap placed on the rival guild

Besides, you can learn a lot from playing with very experienced players. Granted, being stomped to the ground isn't fun, but there are far far more guilds at the lower levels than there are at the top, so there shouldn't be a lack of competition once the game starts.
Why handicap the experienced players? Why not just have the inexperienced become experienced.. and get.. better?

Yea but he was talking about the situation of a 'non-sanctionned' game. This way if my guild is like 7000th and I get matched with KOR we'd get an extra monk henchie on the team to compensate. These kinds of matches from what I understood would require the higher guild to acknowledge that it is for fun only and thus they probably wouldn't mind the handicap if they knew.

Those are some beautiful guild halls. I want one of each... as a summer place, and a winter place, and a place to just hang out once in a while to drink mai tais..... hehehe.
Wonder if someone has screenies or maps of where the resurrections shrines are located in ALL the GHs or how many entry points there are etc. That would help with strategy planning. I've looked all over and have yet to find any.
