Being sort of new to the game I must say that of all the systems operating in the game armor is the most difficult to find out about and understand. There is no information in the manual about armor, and it took alot of digging to come to the understanding I have (although there are still some things I need cleared up).
Solution:
Create an armor screen that shows each piece of armor with the effective armor rating with all runes and enchantments. Also these numbers would change if enchantments or hexes are placed on your hero, that way we, as players, would understand the effectiveness of our enchantments, hexes, runes, armor, and our subsequent vulnerabilities without doing massive experimentation to prove hypothesis after hypothesis.
IE Gloves
Elemental Damage (% reducion or increase of damage due to armor) - (total damage absorbsion)
Physical Damage (% reducion or increase of damage due to armor) - (total damage absorbsion)
