Necromancer builds

Im looking into starting a Necromancer but im wondering what everyone thinks the best build would be. Hit me back with your answers.

I had pretty good success as a necro/monk ..... the HP regen abilities of both professions really allows you to take a beating but watch out for the combos that can shut down a caster. Mesmers in perticular gave me a lot of trouble with that build.

It all depends what you want to do. You shouldn't expect a reasonable answer by just asking the question you did. You should if you ask, "What would work with these skills and these skills?"

But anyways, this belongs in The Campfire which is about builds. Next time make a thread like this there.

Usually a simple search in the forums would provide you with better reults than a post like this. Alternatively, you could browse the website (and not just the forums). There are lots of quality contributors, and GWGuru even has a great builds directory, located here. Cruise over there and check out what they have. Get a good idea what you want to do, develop a plan, and then come back with your plan. You'll get better results asking for a critique on your plan than just asking someone to build a character for you. Oh, and remember, have fun!

I tend to have a lot of trouble with Necromancers because they have so much to choose from. The most common forms that I have seen are the Warrior debuffer (look to the Curses line) and the Nec/War (this can be done with Blood and Warrior attacks or Curses and Warrior attacks... I prefer axes for this build).

I have a N/E that works well, death magic/fire magic.
