indentified items still no getting a bonus

a magic fiery dragon sword, and a purple axe. im almost afraid to id them now

you should be. i had a few purple items, id them, expert salvage them, and i got crap crafting material than let say a rune or something. once it happened 3 times in a row!!!

I must have sold about three gold items and five purple items to the merchant when identifying didn't reveal anything. Are you saying that if I had salvaged those, I may have gotten some runes out of them?

Or a say Hilt or Pommel from a sword or bow string, handle thingy from a bow or etc.....or maybe just crafting items.

You're not always going to get what you expect when salvaging.
