Allright, I made a E/Me and I thought I could do some good farming, but I die too fast.

Fire Magic 12
Energy Storge 10
illusion magic 7

health is 510 and energy is 70

when I try to farm, I can't keep my self alive, so I am thinking should I switch to E/mo? I have all the good armour and infused it, or am I doing something wrong? I use immolate, inferno, firestorm, meteor shower, and some others, but I cant kill em fast enought.

thanks for any help

I have yet to try an E/Me build so I cannot comment on that, but I currently have an E/Mo and absolutely love it. I am able to keep myself alive and do a good amount of damage with my character. I am only level 8, but I have my stats as the following:

Fire Magic: 7
Energy Storage: 3
Smiting: 1

I don't see how you could farm without earth magic (if you're not /Mo, that is).
If you wanna farm a lot of mobs at once, beef up your armor with earth spells, throw on channeling, and throw down some heavy AoEs. It should work.

Oh and inspiration would be a much better choice. Ether feast, energy tap/drain, channeling, all of these are great for farming in conjunction with lots of armor (read: earth magic).

Don't change to Mo ... Since pple have Monk as second profession too much, go to some place like Dragon Lair, omg look ... Ele/Monk W/Monk is like ..... alll surrround you

Mesmer has its own strength as second profession.

For Farmming, i currently use Fire/Earth/Energy Pure Ele. !! For PvP, Your Mesmer 's great advantage!!

In farming, a /mo is always helpful, both because it brings smiting PbAoEs (you won't really need them as an ele), and, of course, because of healing. The only time self-healing is allowed is when you're farming, and by then it's completely necessary. While you could farm as an el/me, it'll never be as effective, even with earth magic buffs.

This is why i want to change to /mo, just so i can heal and still get them becuz they all die or i get em to 10 health is when i JUST die, and dont have enought hp to kill em. Some people allso say that /n will be better, but i just am not sure

If you're worried about staying alive, why aren't you carrying skills like Ether Feast or Armor of Earth?

Mesmer just doesn't bring much to the table for farming. It has Channeling, which seems to work pretty well with Monk spamming Divine Boon (but which will probably be utterly useless to you), and it has the various stances, which are admittedly not that bad for defense. Monk provides better damage and better (though more energy-intensive) defense. If you can farm fine with pure Ele skills (once you get some Earth in there) or with Ele + a stance or something, great, but if you're having trouble, I think that switching to Monk would make things a bit easier for you.
