Guild Wars Key: In use !?

Hi,

Well i subscribed for the guild war beta events a while ago and I have already recieved a key. Once I run the client, it asks me to login. So I login and than it asks me to put in my key.

When I entered the key, it said it was a limited time key and its already been used. Why is my cd key in use? This was the first time entering it and it give sme this error. Is there a way I can track down the accounts name by using my key? Ill appreciate any support or siggestions

i had the same problem and it ended up that i used a different email address then i thought i had, try and see if it works that way, other than that they will contact you about 1 day before the next BWE with a solution and tell you to contact them within 72 hours if it didnt work or they will consider it resolved

Yup they said they will contact me during the next business days. But I am wondering if there is a way I can check what email adress is associated with my key.

when you say you *subscribed* does that mean you purchased the preorder box?

or something else?

sounds like you used the friends key, try using the other key in your box

I didnt pre order the game yet. I got the key from the fileplanet beta event.

Dont tell me that key only worked for that one weekend! I hope not. I didnt even get to try the game and I heard so much positive things about it.

If it'll cheer you up any, there is a thread on this board were you can request a freinds key. I dont know if anyone has one, but its worth a try.

Yes, this key works for only one weekend.

another posibility is that it was one of the deactivated codes

Gaile mentioned that many legit codes were obtained fraudulently and distributed through sites

those were determined and deactivated

I do have a spare friend key, that has not been used. I got it when I pre-orded from Gamestop after buying the pre order from Best Buy. By the way Best Buy are so moronic its not funny. I remember when their gaming department at least knew which were up and coming good games. Now you walk in and its like .. ummmm duyhhh guildwars.. yah we havea box right here.. 10 bucks. I think to myself .. umm oh k.... don't you want me to sign up for the pre-order? I go home to happily play in my first BWE and have now become this addicted freak of nature that must have guildwars to play or will eventually go nutty. So, I went to gamestop to actually pre-order, (they at least had a long list of what was in the 90.00 collectors kit.) So, I do have an extra friend pass that will work for this last BWE. But .. unless you actually pre order it and get the normal pre-order key. You will not be able to play on the 27th like the rest of us that actually pre-ordered. So, if you want the friend pass that will work for this weekend only send me a pm, keep in mind it works for this upcoming BWE weekend only. (did I say that enough)?

Heh. Just making sure, I wish it was this weekend...

Sometimes -- rarely -- you'll get a message that says your key is in use when it is not. We could check that through the Support link, and I can see that you've undertaken that, which is grand.

I wanted to say, though, that occasionally that's the message you get but it's in error and once the event starts the account works just fine. The key is only useful for one weekend, though, so if it has been even just activated before, it will not function now, I'm sorry to say.

So, its best t activate it on the weekend the BWE is on? And not when you get your code?
