how to get rid of my old pet..

i have charmed my 1st pet for a quest for Ascalon
after i teleport back to city, he was not with me anymore
and i didnt care about it
now, 2 days later..I'm in Old Ascalon..
and i tried to charm another pety, the system told me i have a pet already
then i try to rez it, system said: its too far away..
what should i do now?
If i have to go back to new ascalon
is there a way?
without fighting thru all the missions?

you have to keep charm animal in your skill bar

visit the tamer outside the gate in the old askalon explorable area who will take it off your hands

edit

if you mean go back to pre sear askalon no way

if the pet gets killed and you rez a long way from the pets body just start over and the pet will be with you again

if you take charm animal off the bar it wont appear
