Installation Instructions
Each Icon Collection is its own self extracting executeable. Simple onscreen instructions will guide you through the process of installing these onto your computer.
How to Use Them
To Change Windows Icons (My Computer, Recycling Bin, Etc Etc)
Step One: Right click on the desktop and select the "Properties" option from the menu.
Step Two: Navigate to the "Desktop" tab at the top of the Display Properties window.
Step Three: Click on "Customize Desktop"
Step Four: Select the object you wish to change the icon for (such as My Computer), and then hit "Change Icon"
Step Five: Hit "Browse" and navigate to the folder where you extracted the Icon Collection you wish to use.
Step Six: Select the Icon you wish to use and hit okay.
To Change Folders Icons
Step One: Right click on the folder and hit "Properties"
Step Two: Navigate to the "Customize" Tab at the top of the Folders Properties window.
Step Three: Click on "Change Icon"
Step Four: Hit "Browse" and navigate to the folder where you extracted the Icon Collection you wish to use.
Step Five: Select the Icon you wish to use and hit okay.
To Change Shotcut Icons
Step One: Right click on the shortcut and hit "Properties" on the menu.
Step Two: Click on the "Change Icon" button.
Step Three: Hit "Browse" and navigate to the folder where you extracted the Icon Collection you wish to use.
Step Four: Select the Icon you wish to use and hit okay.
If I've missed anything, let me know. Also if you have any problems feel free to IM me and we'll see if we can't work it out. I didnt bother doing specific icons for different programs, but if there is a demand for them, let me know and we'll see what we can do.

I just tried to do this to my GW shortcut on my desktop and it never went to the point of asking me which one I wanted to change to. Instead, it switched to the icon that represents the entire stash of them. Am I doing something wrong that I should be slapped for?

Oh my gawsh! This is amazing, nice work. Stickin' to my elementalist guns my first move was to turn my AdAware SE icon to "immolate."

Yeah, I'm partial to the Elementalist ones too, purely for the colours and the way they turned out. But I'm sticking with Ranger for now, they're vibrant and funktastic >_>

How in earth did I miss this? Wow, you do amazing work, Nascent! Darkmane pointed out this thread to me, and I have to say, this icon set is great fun. We hope to update the skills section on our site to provide all the skill icons very soon, so you'll have even more to play with.

one question i have is...
can u put the other icons back on the computer, say u get tired of the gw ones and want to go back to the originals where are they. instructions to getting those back on would help, although im not very tech smart so i might need the instructions. cause i mean i know i wont want gw ones for the rest of life. thnk you

Yes you can go back to the old ones if you want. I haven't tried it with anything but the GW shortcut yet, but if you go back to where the icon was set before you changed it, you can switch back. It's on your computer still, it's just hidden in the depths of your hard drive and you must go on a trip to find it.

I can give you instructions for any Windows but this is for XP). Right Click your Desktop and Left Click Properties Click the Tab that says "Desktop" (w/o quotations) At the Bottom Click the Tab that says "Customize Desktop" Left Click the Icon you want to Change Back to Default Left Click "Restore Default" Tab Continue Process for every XP default icon Lansing Kai Don P.S. If you changed Icons for programs you will have to right click and change manually. If you need the steps for this give me a list of programs that you did it for.

funny question here. I have XP and all, but when I downloaded and installed the icons, the computer did not have a program that would run it. Never had that happen before. Any tips? (I have all the usual programs that come with XP)
*edit* I see that the file is icl. Again never worked in that format before. Any links to freeware that will run icl?

Half, when you goto change whatever Icon you are trying to change, its asks you to open that file. What you have to do is change the File Type to 'All Files', then open the .icl file.

Great job on those icons, Nascent! They're awesome. Any chance on creating a high-color PNG icon for ObjectDock or Y'z Dock? That would top off your set and would be totally sweet! You can even get it posted on a site like www.wincustomize.com and get it rated. You should post your current icon set there too.

Very well done. Thank you for the oppertunity to customize my Icons. 1 thing though. I noticed 2 icon skills under Mesmer that I havent heard of: Combust and Disappear. If they exist in game, I would like to know more info on them. If they dont though, they will still make good use on my desktop.
