4v4 PvP

It is extremely difficult to get a team together for 8v8. Only the largest guilds and pickup groups can reliably manage it. For the vast majority of the game's players, getting 8 people togehter to play, just doesn't happen. Getting 4 however, is much easier. The problem is that right now, 4v4 PvP is meaningless, and that just leave people frustrated and feeling like they wasted their time.

In order to remedy this, there should be a) a rating for play in the team arenas, b) a 4v4 GvG option that uses the Team Arena maps. For the GvG version, there should be rated and unrated play, and the rating should be a separate one from the main GvG, hall invading play. For the Team Arena version, each individual should have a rating, which should create an average team rating, that then is used to determine the rating adjustment and to pair teams. There could also be an option to play for rating or not for each individual, where they would still be counted as part of their team's rating, but not have their rating adjusted. That would allow people to test builds without affecting their rating.

These two additions would make my guild and probably many other guilds with a similar problem much happier with the game. It is so much fun to PvP, but the frustrations of getting people together and then having everything you did simply erased by one loss are worse.

No, I'm talking about having a rating for the 4v4 that exists.

even though the 4v4 areas do not help your guild rating you do gain fame points for winning enough in a row...

You sure about that? It must be 50+ wins then, because I've never got any fame from it.

hummm.... I'm not 100% sure... But I thought it was doing it. I thought I got some from winning 3 in a row last night, but I could be wrong on that... cause we were doing guild battles too, so now you got me wondering. lol I'll play a few today and see...

I can't count the number of times I've had more than 3 wins in the arena and I'm certain it's never given me fame. Nor have I got any from the GvG battles I've won... As far as I know the only place fame is awarded is in Tombs.

same here, me and my guild did hold it for a good while, never got any.

so now that we've established that you don't, in fact, get anything for playing 4v4 right now, does everyone agree that this is a bad thing which makes people who can only ever play 4v4 feel like there's no point to PvP in the game?
